Job Responsibilities
- Assist customer site to support daily coordination of delivery and transportation activities.
- Plan upcoming shipments based on updated supply readiness reports.
- Coordinate with vendors to arrange pick-up of goods and identify suitable shipment options.
- Communicate with overseas counterparts to obtain rates, confirm space availability, and check progress of ongoing deliveries.

Requirements

Their primary responsibility includes providing their expertise in HS tariff classification, duties and tax valuation. They ensure that all shipments can be released on time as per UPS' service guarantee timeline to customers.

Manages Import/Export Customs Clearance Process
- Receive or download pre alert files from origin and check any discrepancy

Job Description:
Job SummaryThis position demonstrates advanced knowledge of entry writing. He/She classifies according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTS), participates in government agencies clearances (PGA), Code of Regulations, and Customs regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares customs entries and forwards freight to designated locations including interface with international and domestic carriers, overseas offices, and importers.
- Prepares customs entries and follows-up with the clearance process on all entries prepared.
- Communicates documentation discrepancies to client and supervisor.
- Coordinates freight delivery to designated locations.
- Resolves finance and accounting reconciliation exchange issues.
- Scans entries into the imaging system meeting allotted and sensitive time requirements.
- Prepares reports/presentations and analysis using various software packages and databases.
- Follows up on documentation discrepancy issues which requires the ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers and foreign origins.
- Establishes and maintains client relationships.
- Requires a weekend work schedule on a department rotation basis and holiday schedule based on the needs of the operation and account requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or International equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working for a Customs Broker
- Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws and regulations, and other government departments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Customers Broker License - Preferred
- Accurate and rapid data entry
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Pay Range:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $19.85/hr to $32.25/hr. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate's work experience. Hired applicants are offered annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
