We are looking for a Market Research Analyst (Part-time) to accelerate our expansion and growth in the Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM) software space. In this role, you will be mainly responsible for extensive market research of the oil and commodity trading industry and identifying, profiling, and qualifying potential leads in the global commodity trading ecosystem—including energy, metals, agriculture, and soft commodities.
Your work will directly fuel our sales and marketing efforts by generating accurate, relevant, and actionable data on companies and decision-makers likely to benefit from our enterprise software solutions.
This is a part-time position compensated on a hourly basis. The hourly rate is S$20 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Using a variety of sources, including but not limited to LinkedIn, company websites, press releases, industry reports and a healthy dose of investigative guesswork, you will provide market research that is essential to helping us
- build comprehensive lists of target companies (commodity traders, producers, utilities, refiners, processors, etc.) that may require CTRM or ETRM software
- Identify and qualify key decision-makers and influencers (e.g. Heads of Trading, Risk, Operations, IT, and Finance) within those organizations
- You are also expected to help us maintain and update our CRM system and internal database for our sales and marketing efforts
- Any other research required on an ad-hoc basis, including travel plans (business and personal) for senior management
- Claim submission for senior management

Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Insights Generation:
- Collect and analyze organic and advertising data from various sources, including our Proprietary Business Intelligence platform, Social Media Listening platforms, social media, website analytics, ad platforms, etc.
- Identify trends, patterns, and performance metrics to provide actionable insights to internal teams and clients.
- Collaborate with the business development team, the creative team, and advertising operations team to develop data-driven strategies that align with client objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, industry benchmarks, and potential growth opportunities.
- Analyze competitors' advertising strategies and performance to inform our approach and maintain a competitive edge.
- Break down complex data into simple concepts, by combining your technical and analytical skills with a curiosity and passion for storytelling and marketing
Campaign Performance Evaluation:
- Work with business development team to ensure insights and recommendations are in line with client's objectives and goals and drive toward winning pitches.
- Work with Creative and Content team to ensure insights and recommendations are delivered well for team to develop creatives and contents to precision.
- Work with Advertising Ops team to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of advertising campaigns in real-time.
- Work with creative, content, and advertising ops team to use insights to conduct A/B testing and other experiments to optimize ad campaigns, ad creatives, targeting, and messaging.
Produce comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate campaign results and recommendations to stakeholders.
Data Visualization:
- Create visually compelling and easy-to-understand data visualizations, charts, and graphs to communicate insights effectively.
- Present findings and recommendations to internal teams and clients in a clear and concise manner.
Data Quality and Maintenance:
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular data validation and cleaning processes.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the advertising and data analytics industry.
Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance data analysis and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Working experience in data analysis and insights generation within the advertising or marketing domain.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, SQL, business intelligence tools, social listening tools and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Dataroma etc).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable conclusions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey insights to diverse stakeholders.
- Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen and excellent problem-solving, strategy, and analytical skills
- Familiarity with advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads, programmatic ads, etc) and ad tracking tools is a plus.
Deep interest in online advertising, digital media consumption patterns, and branding measurement is a plus.
