As a Manager/Senior within our Business Consulting Finance team, you will help to drive our Finance agenda forward and you will play an important role in shaping following selected areas:

  • Provide support and guide team in gathering data and information to understand the current-state processes through interviews and process walkthroughs with the client counterparts
  • Analyze, understand, optimize and/or (re-)design end-to-end Finance processes, including technology used
  • Prepare and support the automation of Finance processes using Robotic Process Automation, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Lead research and collection of relevant information and knowledge from our internal resources to provide value-adding recommendations
  • Describe Finance Policies and improve Finance Data & Standards and work towards implementation of enhancements within Finance Performance Management
  • Determine the (digital) Finance strategy, design the Finance Operating Model and set up the Finance Governance to arm CFO offices for the future Finance Function
  • Work closely with Directors and Partners in proposal development

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting discipline, with at least 5-8 years of relevant experience as a Process Champion or Consultant
  • Equipped with knowledge on ERP systems and functionalities, as it relates to major Finance business processes such as order to cash, procure to pay, and record to report preferably within a consulting firm environment
  • Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills in English (additional local language skills are considered an asset)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially in Excel and PowerPoint)
    Prior experience of leading team for projects and pursuits

Your key responsibilities

  • Work with clients across the analysis, design and implementation stages of a variety of Marketing, Sales and Service consulting and capability engagements
  • Take a leadership role to develop a portfolio of client assignments that are driven by a need to change and improve the ways of working, often enabled by emerging technology and analytics
  • Build valuable relationships with external clients and internal peers by focusing on high impact opportunities that leverage your experience and networks
  • Lead business development activity and proposals using a variety of medium depending on the client and situation
  • Manage teams to develop project findings into clear, concise, high-quality deliverables
  • Lead stakeholders and clients and also across the EY network
  • Manage day-to-day project operations, act as a subject matter resource on a number of services (depending on your experience, interests and education)
  • Support the development of opinion pieces on business challenges, including publication and presentation of thought leadership

Skills and attributes for success

  • Ability to think conceptually and strategically in design thinking
  • Ability to take a ‘big picture’ strategic view as well as being able to work at a detailed level across a broad range of areas and technologies
  • Comfortable working and engaging across multiple levels of organisations and governments, including chief executives and ministers
  • Willing to stretch and challenge client thinking with a natural curiosity to adapt to new ways of working
  • Able to shift between both business development and delivery responsibilities
  • Adept at leading multiple projects and groups of clients and consultants in a collaborative and result-oriented way
  • Strong project, financial and time management ability, ensuring delivery of client outcomes against committed deadlines and budgets, including Advanced written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation communication ability

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • A relevant Project Management qualification
  • Degree in Business Studies, Business administration, Engineering, Sciences or similar
  • Min 6 years in a relevant industry/consulting role developing your professional service and leadership experience
  • Prior experience within sales and marketing transformation (including processes, technologies and capability)
  • Proven team and client leadership and coaching experience
  • Able to demonstrate how you would help EY build a better working world
