The Instance Life Cycle (ILC) Department hosts all of Murex’s service offers and aims for Murex to be the partner of choice to our clients.
The key vision of ILC Architecture is that with Murex involvement over the full life cycle of the instance, the client can optimize TCO and get the Benefits/Values from time to market innovations launch (while increasing revenue and protecting Murex Position). Our mission is to deliver the best possible solution to clients and continuously improve the quality of the instances during the whole life cycle: sustainable design (faster, better, cheaper and more flexible) to reduce time to value, better knowledge of the instance usage and the business real needs, better upgrades for shorter time to market.
To support our mission, we are looking to hire a Solution Architect to join the team! You may be based in any of our APAC offices to drive the deployment of activities for a portfolio of clients in the region.
Today, more than ever, we often have to solve complex problems that requires the team to bring together knowledge from different areas of expertise in order to be able to solve complex problems in the Murex instance life cycle (presales, projects, productions).
Hence, the need for individuals with a T-shaped expertise; someone who possesses deep domain expertise in at least one specific area (FX cash business, Accounting standards, Basel Regulation, Models, Flex, Database management, Testing etc…), together with the ability to use this knowledge to cut across the silos, is what the Architecture domain is looking for to contribute to the growth of the team.
The Solution Architect in Murex is someone who has the curiosity and ability to collect and master expertise in many disciplines and she/he is able to draw on that wide knowledge base to recognize patterns, connect dots and improvise solutions. She/he is able to look at the complex problem in its globality and break it down to smaller solvable pieces.
She/he provides the glue between the variety of different experts (Trading, ERM, PAC, OPS, FIN, TEST, Project methodology…) helping to explain to each of them why the work they are doing relates to the work other people are doing, sometimes making the non-obvious connection between things. The characteristics of a solution architect is a high openness to new experience, a thirst for cognition.
Your responsibilities include:
- Main Contact to the client design board in charge of major cross business and technology design decisions
- Work with Project Managers ensuring smooth delivery on all projects, extensions by sharing insights, knowledge, and understanding of the client’s strengths and expertise
- Seek collaborative opportunities, both internally and externally, identifying occasions to enhance a project by working across teams at Murex
- Define test and migration strategy with optimal coverage of functional & technical components
- Assess Production instance quality in collaboration with Product champions/community of experts and Production managers
- Contribute to presales activities
As an active member of the Architecture Domain, you will also need to contribute to the development of the domain:
- Share awareness on market and industry trends
- On-board Architects through building solution expertise on your strength areas or on specificities of its geographic regions
- Participate actively in initiatives and innovation around methodologies (Agile, CI, UaaS, Test, Data migration,…) with other teams (SO, PM, Funct and tech domains)
To be successful in this role:
- At least 10 years of Murex experience
- Experience with Managed Services is a plus
- Project methodologies: Waterfall, Agile, CI/CD
- Strong academic background in business, finance, mathematics, and accounting
- Knowledge and proven experience in capital markets software for trading, risk management, processing, or consulting
- Broad experience on complex implementations
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical abilities to understand complex issues and be able to either dive into details with experts or summarize for non-experts
- Ability to foresee challenges and dependencies
- Ability to identify trends and recommend a course of action to resolve/improve/enhance the usage of our solution
- Ability to manage complex client relationships
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Job Description
We are in search of an outstanding individual to take on the role of a Solution Architect. This role involves aiding our clients in making strategic investments in solutions from the wide array of offerings within the SUSE portfolio, ultimately granting them a competitive edge.
The perfect candidate will showcase their adeptness in both technical leadership and deep knowledge of the SUSE Technology portfolio. They will evolve into a relied-upon trusted advisor, acting as a catalyst for generating new possibilities, overcoming challenges, and cultivating strong partnerships with our clients. Their mission will be to champion SUSE technology and actively engage in the sales process while maintaining their foundational role as a technical expert.
While operating within our sales organization, the core essence of this position remains that of a technical specialist, actively involved in shaping the sales journey. The ultimate objective is to effectively position the most suitable solutions based on customer needs and secure victories on the technical front.

Prospect And Customer Facing
- Maintain involvement and aid in advancing opportunities throughout the qualification, definition, proof/evaluation, proposal, and closure phases of the sales process.
- Engage with the sales representative and prospect to ensure a prospect’s business needs can be addressed with SUSE’s current and roadmap product capabilities.
- Offer presales technical assistance in the formulation and execution of intricate offerings and solutions.
- Provide guidance and support for proofs of concepts, workshops, and seminars as deemed necessary.
- Act as a trusted advisor on the customers end, aiding technology stakeholders in establishing and achieving their expectations.
- Lead discussions of a technical nature, explaining how the SUSE portfolio and architectured solutions correspond to the customers business and organizational prerequisites.
- Conduct research and draft responses to the technical segments of requests for information (RFIs), requests for proposals (RFPs), and requests for quotes (RFQs).
- Attain comprehension of customer business and IT landscapes, collaborating with Sales teams to evaluate the potential applicability of SUSE solutions.
- Participate on meetings and conferences with customers and partners to serve as a liaison between SUSE internal organizations such as Technical Support and Product Research and Development
- Support the Sales and Partner team by offering suggestions for the creation and execution of intricate offerings and solutions, aimed at attaining sales targets.
- Collaborate with regional division to craft a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, outlining account approaches and aiding in the realization of strategic opportunities.
- Assist the Marketing team through both on-field and online initiatives.
- Engage with Strategic Business Solutions and Product Marketing to participate in the authoring of early stage marketing materials (presentations, solution white papers, customer success stories, and marketing slides) and related business solution demonstration scenarios that highlight SUSE’s capabilities.
- Maintain alignment with Marketing and Product Management of existing and Future SUSE suite capabilities and help drive product innovation.
- Keep up to date with any new SUSE solutions across the business lines.
- Understand functionality and interoperability of SUSE components.
- Disseminate insights gained from knowledge exploration and guide fellow Solution Architects, enabling team members to benefit from your achievements, errors, optimal methodologies, field experience, and technical insights.
- Presales experience: ability to translate technical knowledge and skills into proposals, presentations, demos, and customer workshops
- Ability to concisely explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and present key business and technical value for solutions architecture
- Ability to coordinate associates and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with UNIX or Linux systems, along with provisioning, patch management solutions, and configuration management technologies
- Solid knowledge of hybrid cloud infrastructure and management solutions
- Knowledge of key technologies in DevOps landscape, encompassing Linux containers, container management, Kubernetes, security, and continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) tools.
- Experience with building complex solution proposals and architecture and a knowledge of mission critical business applications like SAP.
- Willingness to Travel
- Highly independent self-starter capable of efficiently working with minimal supervision. Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple customers simultaneously, multitasking effectively, and adeptly handling time to meet and exceed deadlines.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect to join our team and lead the design and implementation of end-to-end solutions across multiple domains. As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for aligning business requirements with technology capabilities, designing scalable and cost-efficient systems, and ensuring architectural best practices are followed.
You will collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, engineers, and other solution architects to deliver innovative solutions that meet business goals and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and technical requirements to determine best-fit solutions.
- Initiate or review solution design documents, including component and deployment diagrams.
- Ensure that solutions comply with technology standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Define and maintain common architecture blueprints, integration patterns, and implementation strategies as standards.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, and tools that align with organizational objectives.
- Lead proof-of-concepts and technical evaluations for new technologies.

Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, system design, or IT architecture.
- 3+ years in a Solution Architect or similar architecture-focused role.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies.
- Proven experience designing complex systems and integrations across various platforms.
- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, and integration patterns.
- Strong understanding of security principles, data governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and designs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving.
- Ability to lead and influence without direct authority.
- Strong documentation and presentation skills.
- Adaptability and openness to learning new technologies.
- Experience in Travel industry is a plus.
- Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent is a plus.
