Business Strategy & Management
The Business Strategy & Management (BSM) team is responsible for shaping the department's long-term strategic vision, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring the effective implementation of strategies. Working closely with the Department Director, the team charts the strategic roadmap to ensure alignment with enterprise priorities and plays a key role in managing day-to-day operations such as performance tracking, governance, communications, and the roll out of enterprise initiatives.
What impact can you make in this role?
We are seeking an AVP to join the Business Strategy & Management team. This role is crucial in maintaining smooth continuity of business and operations in alignment with the department's strategic goals. The Business Manager will support business management, core administration, and operational functions, while assisting in coordinating strategy implementation, initiatives execution, and strategic communications. You will also partner the Data Science and Innovations Division on AI Product Strategy, Communications, and Cross-Functional Initiatives.
This role is ideal for a fast learner and strong communicator who is highly organized, proactive, and eager to develop exposure to business management, strategy, and AI within a leading global investment organization.
What will you do as a AVP, Business Strategy & Management?
Business Management & Operations
- Develop and operationalize enterprise and departmental policies and frameworks to enhance team and departmental performance.
- Support and manage the annual business planning, budgeting cycles, and operational reviews, including headcount planning, reporting, and resource management.
- Support governance routines such as leadership meetings, departmental updates, and tracking of action items.
- Provide administrative and operational support to ensure smooth day-to-day running of the department.
- Handle ad hoc business requests and ensure timely delivery in alignment with departmental priorities.
Strategy Support and Implementation
- Understand the strategic agenda and priorities of the business; develop and drive implementation of new programs and/or workflow processes to deliver operational synergies and achieve the department's strategic outcomes.
- Participate in strategic projects spanning both business management and AI product management, coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
- Collaborate with Team Leads to formulate and implement team-level strategies and plans to drive efficiency and performance.
- Assist in translating enterprise and/or enterprise-level strategies into team and/or business-specific implementation plans.
- Partner with cross-functional teams within and across departments (e.g., AI Product Managers, Data Scientists, AI Project Managers) to coordinate communication and execution.
Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
- Draft clear, structured communication materials including updates, newsletters, and meeting notes.
- Support preparation of presentations, management papers, and communications for senior stakeholders.
- Help translate technical and strategic topics (including AI and data initiatives) into simple, actionable messages for our investment and business professionals.
- Build positive working relationships across teams and ensure effective coordination of information flow.

- Department operations (budget, reporting, governance routines) are running smoothly and predictably with improved efficiency.
- Leadership meetings and departmental communications are well-prepared, timely, and clearly structured.
- Business planning, budget tracking, and operational metrics are accurately maintained and provide useful insights for decision-making.
- The Business Manager is recognized as a reliable, proactive partner who learns quickly, communicates clearly, and enables the department to function more effectively.
What makes you a successful candidate?
• A degree in Business, Finance, or related fields, with 3-5 years of relevant experience in business management, operations, or consulting (financial services experience is advantageous).
• Strong organizational and project management skills; detail-oriented with a structured approach to execution.
• Ability to think and plan strategically, make well-informed decisions grounded in fact, and to apply sound judgment at all times.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare clear reports, presentations, and updates.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
• Robust data handling and analytical skills; comfortable with Excel, reporting tools, and synthesizing information into insights.
• Willingness and potential to learn quickly, adapt to new situations, and grow in responsibility over time.
• Strong team player with good interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills that will help drive impactful results.
• Interest in data, AI, and digital transformation topics is favorable but not required — curiosity and openness to learn are key.
