Job Responsibilities:

- Assembling and disassembling aircraft engine parts

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new CFD solutions in partnership with our academic and technology partners;
- Providing CFD technical leadership to new research programs;
- Work closely with other team members to develop OpenFOAM methods, processes and workflows;
- Develop and implement mesh, solver and post-processing methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our CFD tools and workflow;
- Support and optimise CFD tools including monitoring and resolving issues;
- Ensure that CFD simulations and analysis carried out within the department are aligned with the capability of the commercial tools;
- Conduct research into and analysis the energy usage of different scenarios;
- Write reports and mapping the total energy usage;
- Publish papers and support documentation.
Job Requirements:
- Preferably Master in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Applied Physics from a recognized university;
- Strong organisational and project skills;
- Excellent team player and able to work effectively with other groups;
- Practical experience in OpenFOAM development and/or in C++ language development in a CFD environment;
- Good understanding of commercial CFD solvers (Fluent, 6Sigma, STAR-CCM+, etc.)
- Experience with energy modelling or coding platforms including SketchUp, EnergyPlus, OpenStudio, TRNSYS, and Python;
- Proven ability to work at a fast pace and to react rapidly to new information;
- F1 experience would be advantageous but not essential;
- Experience of Python, C++, and Unix shell scripting would be advantageous.

- Oversee mechanical design for process plant (Wastewater Treatment Plant, Water Treatment Plant, etc) including piping/valve/mechanical equipment calculation, specification & data sheet, piping/equipment layout, pipe/equipment support & platform, material take off, etc. Review the piping isometrics and as-built drawings.
- Provide mechanical input (such pipe loading, etc.) and coordinate with other disciplines (including the BIM modelling team) for the design, procurement, installation and T&C work.
- Technical review of equipment/piping/valve vendors' proposal and submission during procurement, detailed design and installation stages, support the procurement and tender work, including the cost estimation.
- Prepare the mechanical submissions and resubmissions to project consultants and client according to project schedule and clear the submittal comments.
- Manage the equipment/piping/valve suppliers / subcontractors to meet the project schedule and quality requirements for design, installation and testing & commissioning.
 Support on the installation and testing and commissioning work, and other tasks assigned by the management.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical design (such as piping design, etc.) in process plant (water/wastewater treatment plant, incineration plant, etc.) with Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision, make sound decisions, take independent action, and provide focused solutions to assigned projects.
- Possess strong inter-personal and communication skills and be able to work well with people at all levels in the organization.
- Must have advanced computer literacy in commonly usedsoftware applications such as Navisworks, Bentley View, AutoCAD and MS Office.

- Bid Evaluation & Contract Variation Management

Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering 
- Chartered Engineer/Professional Engineer Status or equivalent is preferred 
- 10 years relevant post graduate experience, of which 6 years should be related to Oil and Gas industry 
- Ablility to identify and utilise relevant engineering standards and codes related to Rotating Equipment Engineering 
- Proven ability to manage time, cost and quality in engineering projects within a mulitple project environment
