As part of the YouthPhoria team, you will make YouthPhoria an innovative and sustainable model of improving the social mobility of young persons in Singapore. You will oversee programmes for youths from disadvantaged families, and manage volunteers & partners, to ensure effective frontline & educational support in each local community.
Main Responsibilities1. Community Engagement
- Oversee and ensure quality implementation of programme across YouthPhoria clubs.
- Conduct outreach and onboard vulnerable youth clients, ensuring regular programme participation
- Design, plan, and oversee youth mentoring programmes aligned with organisational goals and emerging youth needs, ensuring relevance and impact through evidence-based practices.

The Youth Worker will play a crucial role in implementing Resilient Minds programs within schools, working closely with at-risk students to provide guidance, support, and a positive, trusting environment. Students will be engaged in meaningful activities after school hours in the school's student activity centre, fulfilling social-moral experiences, engaging physical experiences and quality aesthetic experiences.
Roles & Responsibilities
Working hours:
Regular and Special Programme Sessions
3.00pm to 5.30pm (Monday and Wednesday)
Service Learning and Learning Journey Sessions
3.00pm to 6.30pm (Wednesday or Friday)
There must be 2 Youth Workers at all times.
(a) Regular Sessions (54 sessions)
- The YW must design, plan and conduct after-school
programme sessions which should include:
o Meaningful after-school experiences, such as fulfilling
social-moral activities, engaging physical, outdoor and
sports activities, skills-based activities (e.g., candle making,
financial literacy or equivalent) and quality aesthetic
experiences.
o Opportunities to build resilience and learn important life
skills (e.g., study/revision skills).
o Activities that allow students to develop skills they can apply
to their schoolwork and community outreach.
- A total of 54 sessions to be conducted twice a week on
Monday and Wednesday.
(b) Special Programme Sessions (6 sessions)
(i) Termly Service-Learning Programme/Journey (4 sessions)
- The YW must propose programme that engage students
meaningfully and provide all necessary instructors, equipment,
and materials for Service-Learning Programme/Journey –
Activities that allow students to learn, champion a cause,
and/or contribute to the community.
- A total of 4 sessions will be conducted, with one session each
term on Wednesday or Friday.
(ii) Semestral Learning journey out of school (2 sessions)
- The YW must propose a learning journey outside school
each semester to celebrate the end of the semester and
recognise students' achievement in successfully completing
the semester.
- A total of 2 sessions must be conducted, with one session
each semester on Wednesday or Friday.
(c) The Contractor must work with the teachers in-charge to:
Plan and prepare prior to the programme;
Motivate students to participate in the after-school
programme;
- Manage the weekly operations of the after-school Gear Up
room and programme on Mondays and Wednesdays, as
outlined in the Training Dates section
Maintain profiles of the main group of students in the
programme and assess their progress toward achieving the
desired outcomes;
Share inspirational stories to engage and encourage students;
Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the physical facilities
for the Gear-Up room;

Must have at least 6 months of experience in working with secondary level students and is equipped with the skills and competencies to handle complex needs of children/youths
Must have at least 6 months in mentoring or coaching youths at-risk or secondary level students
Commitment
Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:
During Authority term : Thrice per week: 3hr each day
Mondays & Wednesdays: 2pm to 5pm
- Fridays: 12.30pm to 3.30pm
The total estimated contracted hours during Authority holidays are:
March Holidays: 3 hrs x 1 days = 3 hours
June Holidays: 3 hrs x 3 days = 9 hours
