We are seeking an experienced Site Operations Manager to oversee the daily activities of a scrap yard. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be able to manage teams effectively, and possess a strong understanding of operations management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the scrap yard, including material intake, processing, sorting, and dispatch.
- Lead, train, and supervise site workers, machine operators, and drivers.
- Ensure workplace safety by enforcing SOPs, conducting toolbox meetings, and adhering to MOM/NEA regulations.
- Monitor and maintain equipment and machinery to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate logistics and transport of materials in and out of the yard.
- Liaise with head office on inventory tracking, stocktake reports, and operational updates.
- Implement process improvements to increase productivity and cost efficiency.
- Handle site incidents, risk assessments, and corrective actions where necessary.
- Manage subcontractors and external vendors when required.
