Job Purpose
Workshop Supervisors purpose is to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the service department, providing high-quality services while maintaining a positive customer experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise all Preventive & Corrective Maintenance.
- Plan & manage all vehicle input & output.
- Assign technician for servicing on vehicles.
- Conduct SODB in the absent of OIC.
- Support recovery (in / out base).
- Attend meetings with OIC.
- Monitor all spares required.
- Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the work of automotive technicians and work closely with service advisors.
- Assigning tasks, setting performance expectations, and providing guidance and feedback to the team members.
- Ensure that all services are performed at a high standard and in compliance with the industry regulations and safety standards.
- Proving training and development opportunities for automotive technicians and other team members to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Overseeing the maintenance and repair of service equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Addressing operational challenges and resolving issues as they arise.
- Providing strong leadership, motivation, and support to team members to create a positive and productive work environment
Skills & Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevent experience
- Experience in the Automotive line is preffered
- Good knowledge in ISO related management systems
- Professional Certificate/Nitec, Diploma, Degree

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the workshop operations in terms of vehicle diagnosis and repair services. Determine the work prioritization and to allocate work and support technicians for all workshop tasks in the most efficient and effective way.
- Ensure that the workshop premises are properly always maintained and clean.
- To ensure a high service standard & quality workmanship provided to our customers.
- Maintains appropriate service and repair records and stock inventory records.
- Ensure technicians write up a work order and attend to technical queries.
- Responds to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service.
- To mentor and provide training and/or guidance to fellow colleagues.
- To maintain workplace harmonious among staffs and bring positive impact to fellow colleagues.
- Oversee and manage technicians so that appropriate information, instruction, training and guidance are provided when required.
- Liaise with Sales, Accounts, Parts or Management staff as required.
- Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of staff and customers in the workshop. To carry out and document health and safety checks.
- Responsible for the premise security and efficient running of the workshop and to consider improvements and efficiencies wherever possible.
- Organize appointments, collections, transportation and support for the workshop where required.
- Liaise with external vendors and suppliers for outsourced works and purchase of parts.
- Responsible for the workshop inventory and equipment.
- Assist and serves as a backup to other departments where the need arises.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of Nitec / Higher Nitec in Automotive Technology or related
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Automotive repairs and workflow in workshop environment.
- Possess a valid Class 3 driving license
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently within tight schedules
- Self-driven and excellent team player
- 5.5-day work week
