Workplace Safety Officer Role
This position requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and regulations to ensure site compliance with prevailing MOM safety acts and Regulations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing and ensuring all sites comply with Workplace, Safety & Health Acts. They will also provide guidance, consultation, briefing, training, and support on all aspects of workplace safety to operators, site staff, and workers/subcontractors.
The ideal candidate will conduct and enforce WSH and In-House rules and regulations, inspecting safety work processes and following up with corrective actions where necessary to ensure workplace safety and compliance with approved Safe Work Practices (SWP).
They will also investigate all safety infringements and accidents and propose or recommend remedial actions to minimize risk.
In addition, the successful candidate will liaison and coordinate with relevant Authorities on all safety issues, perform administrative tasks related to ISO documentation, and record, compile, and submit weekly reports.
Key requirements for this role include a Certificate of Registration by MOM, a Degree or Diploma in Safety, and a minimum of 5 years' working experience as a WSHO (MOM registered) in the local construction industry, especially in HDB BTO projects.
