Job Description

What you get to do in this role:

The Expert Services Senior Technical Consultant is responsible configuring ServiceNow Platform based on leading practices to provide a solution that achieves customer outcomes. The Senior Technical Consultant is the functional and technical expert in customer engagements.

  • Apply ServiceNow knowledge and Core Business Workflows (formerly Employee Workflows) domain expertise in customer engagements to provide optimum workflows.
  • Participate and sometimes lead workshops with customers to assess current processes and establish future-state processes.
  • Design and deliver ServiceNow Core Business Workflows solutions with a technical architecture designed for long-term success and following ServiceNow technical standards and leading practices.
  • Draft user stories and train customers to create their own user stories, acceptance criteria, testing strategy and knowledge transfer while supporting customers in reviewing and approving them.
  • Provide oversight and unit testing of code developed by partner or customer employees.
  • Advise customers on how to take advantage of the ServiceNow Platform capabilities to improve their business processes.
  • Guide customers in completing required documentation such as business requirement workbooks for technical aspects of the solution.
  • Provide feedback to product development to improve the product based on experiences gained with customers.
  • Maintain skills / certifications on HRSD (Human Resources Service Delivery) and/or FSC (Finance and Supply Chain) and/or WSD (Workplace Service Delivery) and/or LSD (Legal Service Delivery) for Core Business Workflows (formerly Employee Workflows).

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • Proven technical and business process experience in leading the development and delivery of ServiceNow solutions in client environments, preferably with the Core Business Workflow products
  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
  • 8+ years experience as part of a professional services organization; or equivalent education/experience
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Industry domain expertise in Government, Public Services, Financial Services, Healthcare
  • Creative with comfort running projects independently
  • Success driving complex issues through analysis and resolution
  • Experience working collaboratively
  • ServiceNow certifications and micro certifications for the Core Business Workflows suite of products

  • Handle CRM (Client Relationship Management) cases to address clients' upskilling concerns on an ad-hoc basis
  • Coordinate call assignments for Skills Ambassadors
  • Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor or manager

Responsibilities

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong organisational and data management skills, with the ability to manage monthly reporting
  • Strong interest in data analysis
  • Comfortable working with large datasets data visualisation tools (Tableau/ PowerBI) and large language models
  • Creative skills to develop visually appealing materials
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and design software for creating materials
  • Possess domain knowledge of the CET landscape and labour market (e.g. in-demand skills and job roles) to contextualize and support relevant data analysis will be an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
  • Excellent business writing and communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Ability to converse in Mother Tongue is an advantage
  • Experience in service excellence or CRM will be welcomed

  • Create data models to meet various business needs by combining data from different sources for a comprehensive view of the data landscape.
  • Clean, transform, and analyse data to extract valuable insights.
  • Use statistical methods to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in the data.
  • Present analysis results through interactive dashboards, visual reports, and data visualizations using Power BI to clearly communicate findings
  • Develop and maintain predictive and statistical models using machine learning techniques to support decision-making processes.
  • Write and optimize code to automate data collection, processing, and analysis tasks.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments understand their data needs, provide analytical support, and develop customized data solutions.
  • Continuously assess and refine data collection, processing, and analysis workflows to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance data quality.
Requirements
  • Strong skills in writing Oracle SQL, optimizing database performance, and managing large data sets.
  • Experience with Python and R for data analysis, statistical modelling, and automation tasks.
  • Experience working with large data sets, cleaning, transforming, and analyzing data to generate insights.
  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or similar platforms to create interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in IT-related, Statistical, or Mathematical.
