ABOUT THE POSITION: The Wine Sales Executive is responsible for the qualitative distribution and promotion of wines from a portfolio of esteemed producers, targeting a curated base of fine-dining restaurants and private clients in Singapore. This role involves identifying, developing and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring consistent brand representation, and meeting sales objectives all the while upholding the highest standards of service, product knowledge and reputation
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
Business Development & Sales
Devise and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in Singapore.
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the hospitality, retail, and corporate sectors.
- Identify, build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in restaurants, hotels, retailers, and other relevant channels.
Plan and execute wine dinners and tastings — including events with visiting producers — to strengthen brand presence and support commercial objectives.
Account Management
Manage and grow existing client base of individual accounts by developing a deep understanding of their needs and tailoring offers and recommendations accordingly.
- Work closely with key accounts to develop long-term partnerships.
Ensure timely follow-up and excellent customer service to sustain client satisfaction and trust.
Market Research & Strategy
Collaborate with other FICOFI teams (including Estates, Wines, …) to develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies.
Provide regular feedback on market trends and consumer preferences to adjust product offerings accordingly.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with the Marketing team to develop promotional activities and campaigns to drive sales.
Work closely with the Operations team to set up and roll out the delivery solution to customers in Singapore.
Reporting & Performance
Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for the Selective Distribution team, providing insight into performance against targets, as well as quality of the distribution completed.
- Track and manage KPIs related to sales growth, client acquisition, and revenue generation.
KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related subject matter.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in wine sales or business development in with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of the wine industry in Singapore.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Self-motivated, result-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Experience of working in Singapore.
Additional Requirements:
- Passion for wine and a strong understanding of different wine regions, varietals, and tasting profiles.
- WSET Level 3 or equivalent certification is a plus.
