Environmental Engineer (Waste management process)
We are an environmental waste management company, constantly looking for better, more cost-effective waste treatment processes and systems. We are looking for someone experienced in the environmental field, especially in oil, wastewater and flue gas.
Job responsibilities
Make recommendations to maintain and improve environmental performance, and implement if confirmed
Review environmental regulations, and determine whether they're being applied properly
Create, maintain or improve air/water quality management systems that comply with permits and regulations
Report environmental incidents to management, including mishaps such as internal spills and suggest solutions for prevention in future
Report potential permit non-compliances, and upcoming regulatory inspections
Lead or support the preparation and negotiation of various environmental permit applications
Lead or support ISO 14001/50001/45001 application processes and yearly renewal
Lead yearly ECA compilation of data and liaising with NEA to ensure continual improvements in energy use on site
Support various departments where applicable in environmental aspects relating to regulatory requirements or inspections
Assist with any additional duties as required
Title, salary and package will commensurate with relevance of experience
Basic qualification
Diploma/Degree in relevant discipline (preferably environmental/process engineering or chemical engineering)
Good problem-solving skill and analytical thinking, take initiative in problem solving
Good hands-on experience, ability and interest to setup process equipment and flow
Good people skills as you will need to interact with various departments heads and regulatory agencies
Preferably 2-3 years of waste treatment processes experience or similar field
SCEM related experience is preferred but not required
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
