About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Logistics (Supply Chain and Warehousing) Director to lead our Supply Chain and Warehousing division, supporting the operational and commercial needs of the Gain City group of companies.
In this role, you will oversee end-to-end warehousing and delivery operations, ensuring efficiency and reliability. Beyond leading and optimising our warehousing operations, you will lead the adoption of technology to enhance operational performance and support business growth. You will play a critical part in driving process improvements, optimising resource utilisation, scaling operations and ensuring a seamless and consistent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations including inbound/outbound logistics, inventory management, order fulfilment and space utilisation
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing logistics and warehousing operations team
- Develop and implement warehousing strategies aligned with operational goals and customer service standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers and third-party logistics partners to ensure smooth collaboration
- Establish and analyse clear KPIs to evaluate logistics effectiveness, identify areas for improvement and ensure
- Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, e-commerce, customer service and finance teams to align operations with broader business goals
- Ensure full compliance with government regulations, safety standards and internal SOPs
Qualifications and Requirements
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or a related discipline
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, fleet management and vehicle leasing, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of third-party logistics and warehouse operations
- Proficient in automated warehousing solutions such as WMS, WES and ERP systems
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- Familiarity with automated warehousing IT infrastructure, international trade and contract management is a plus
- Experience in fast-paced industries such as manufacturing, retail or e-commerce is a plus
