What will I be doing?
Strategic Leadership & Business Development
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement country strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Drive business development by identifying new merchant opportunities, optimizing pricing and costs, integrating local payment methods, and closing strategic deals with partners.
- Represent the company in public affairs, regulatory discussions, chambers of commerce, business associations, and industry events to strengthen market presence.
- Maintain personal networks, participate in professional organizations, attend conferences and industry events.
- Promote relationships with members of the media and key influencers to consolidate dLocal’s reputation in the market.
- Negotiate and execute commercial partnerships and agreements to improve operational capabilities for various payment alternatives.
- Work with internal teams (Operations, Product, Technology) to build and implement roadmaps for partnership integration and analyze performance results to optimize operations.
- Work closely with merchants and commercial team, focusing on the development of key products.
- Stay informed about local regulations and compliance requirements, providing effective advice to internal teams and identifying potential risks for new products.
- Liaise with regulatory and statutory bodies to ensure adherence to legal requirements and obligations, including AML/KYC policies and licensing.
- Stay on top of local regulatory/licensing requirements and how it impacts our business.
- Stay on top of local regulations and engage with regulators when necessary.
- Contact local lawyers, accountants, and tax experts to ensure the operation complies with all legal and financial requirements.
- Oversee daily operations across all products, ensuring smooth execution of global and local initiatives
- Support Country Managers and stakeholders across the organization to ensure the delivery of revenue, volume, costs, compliance, etc., regional corporate targets.
- Closely lead and manage the operations team for overall operational excellence.
- Improve operational capabilities for different payment methods.
- Manage operational costs, improve conversion rates, and enhance processing efficiency.
- Take ownership of the country’s P&L, seeking improvements, ensuring forecast accuracy, and driving initiatives with measurable impact.
- Analyzing performance results and optimizing accordingly.
- Develop emergency response plans for system outages, compliance challenges, or banking disruptions.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders in the payment ecosystem, including acquirers, processors, banks, and regulators.
- Provide local knowledge and expertise on financial, payments, and fintech regulations, and support Treasury in analyzing performance results and optimizing accordingly.
- Strong Cross-Cultural Leadership skillsProven experience in cross- border payments payments or other financial systems all over APAC

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Operations Lead to spearhead transformation & process improvement initiatives within our Operations function. This role is ideal for individuals who possess deep operational knowledge preferably in the financial services sector and is passionate about challenging the status quo through process redesign, automation and data-driven decision making. The ideal candidate will bring both hands-on operational expertise and strong command of process improvement methodologies to deliver measurable and sustainable outcomes.
Job Responsibilities- Operations Subject Matter Expert: Good understanding of end-to-end workflows & ensure accurate and timely execution of core operational activities, such as listing and trading operations, clearing and settlement, custodial services, AML/KYC, etc.
- Process Reengineering & Transformation: Identify improvement opportunities, conduct in-depth reviews of existing workflows to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks. Redesign processes using methodologies to improve and optimize workflows, including leading implementation across teams.
- Change Leadership: Drive change adoption across teams by engaging stakeholders, design implementation roadmaps and ensuring alignment to business outcomes. In addition, support the team manager in fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and agile team culture.
- Performance Metrics & Measurement: Define KPIs and build dashboards/ reporting tools to track impact of process changes, cost savings and operational performance.
- Project Delivery: Lead and support projects related to the development and enhancement of securities products, platforms, and operational capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree with 8–10 years of experience in operations, preferably in large enterprises or financial services industry with exposure to securities operations
- Proven track record in rolling out process improvements and transformation initiatives using frameworks like Lean Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex operational challenges and drive data – backed decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams such as technology, compliance and product teams.
- Experience balancing BAU operations with strategic transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulations relevant to SGX operations would be advantageous

- Provide effective oversight of third party / Citi affiliate activities, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and regulatory requirements while maintaining operational excellence.
- Identify and eliminate process inefficiencies, strengthening risk controls and synchronizing operational efforts with strategic priorities to achieve faster payment processing times, more reliable delivery performance and higher customer satisfaction in account services.
- Support the Core Operations function on overall expense management goals, including monthly expense plan and outlook as well as annual expense/budget planning
- Showcase Core Operations function using available data such as volume (MIS), trends, etc. and put together management slides deck communications
- Degree holder with about 7-10 years of substantial experience in Operations management
- Able to work independently and able to deliver under time constraints
- Ability to communicate enhancement and changes to processes/platforms with partners in technology and work to drive change
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially under high pressure situations
- Meticulous and eye for details
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good understanding of basic accounting, financial planning and analysis concepts
- Process Improvement skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (MS access, MS excel, Power point)
