Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our wholesale and retail establishment.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in planning, directing, and evaluating business operations, as well as developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to drive sales and customer engagement.
You will be responsible for identifying and assessing business opportunities to expand market reach and strengthen customer relationships, supervising and coordinating staff activities to ensure smooth business operations, and maintaining stock levels and overseeing inventory management.
A key aspect of this role is ensuring compliance with safety, hygiene, and operational standards, as well as assisting in loading and unloading various types of fruits, including durians, which can weigh up to 60kg.
You will also conduct quality checks on different types of fruits, ensuring proper classification and selection, and perform general cleaning tasks such as wiping tables, clearing durian shells, and disposing of waste properly.
RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the food or retail industry.
- Strong knowledge of various fruit types, their quality standards, and classification methods.
- Physical fitness and ability to handle heavy lifting (cartons of at least 60kg).
- Ability to work long hours, including late nights, weekends, and public holidays.
