Production and Quality Specialist - Supplier Management

This position supports supplier management initiatives, encompassing quality activities such as supplier qualification, periodic performance evaluation, and decommissioning.
We are seeking a candidate with experience in production and/or quality control to perform the following responsibilities:
- Liaise with stakeholders (manufacturing team, procurement team, QC etc.) and suppliers (manufacturers and distributors of supplies, outsourced service providers etc.) to ensure supplier questionnaires are completed with relevant documents.
- Liaise with affiliate sites personnel for qualified supplier information deck to assess on the leverage of supplier qualification documents.
- Lead/Support on-site audit at supplier site (if necessary). Prepare audit agenda, audit report, and coordinate with supplier for CAPA response to close of audit observations.
- Draft Quality Agreement (QAA) with new suppliers or review existing QAA for existing suppliers engaged by affiliate sites
- Perform quality assessment based on company procedures to determine if suppliers can be qualified for GMP use.
- Update qualified supplier list.
- Perform periodic performance monitoring, supplier change notification, and decommissioning of supplier.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Biologics, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Bioengineering, or other relevant fields.
- At least 8 years of working experience in production and/or quality management, with a minimum of 5 years in supplier qualification QA.
- Familiarity with FDA, EMEA, HSA, and PIC/S GMP requirements.
- Experience in leading audits is preferred.
- Proficient in English listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, TrackWise, and other software applications.

- Champion a strong quality mindset and actively drive the Zero Defect strategy across internal teams and external suppliers.
- Lead or support qualification of new components and requalification activities (e.g., Product Change Notifications) in line with Continental's Product Life Cycle and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) processes.

- Good knowledge in process for plastic overmolding/molding and its secondary process with cosmetic requirement, stamping, press-fit stamping, sub-component assembly, automated inline testing, wire cutting/terminating for cable assemblies
- Strong Knowledge in quality related methodologies and standards (eg. FMEA, 8D review, 5why, Problem Solving, etc)
- Able to work independently and also in team-based environment

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Supplier Quality Management (SQM) Engineer to strengthen our quality assurance efforts within the automotive supply chain. Key Responsibilities
- Component Quality Management
Lead and support qualification/requalification of new components (e.g., PCNs) aligned with APQP and Product Life Cycle processes. - Preventive Quality Planning
Plan, initiate, and oversee advanced quality measures during design and development phases. - Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with global and local teams including Purchasing, Engineering, Project Management, Customer Quality, and Logistics. - Audit & Corrective Action Review

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.

• Strong understanding of APQP, FMEA, 8D, 5Why, and other quality tools.
• Proven knowledge of component introduction processes in design & development.
• Hands-on experience with plastic molding/overmolding, stamping, sub-assembly, automated inline testing, and cable assembly processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications with focus on requirements engineering.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in cross-functional global teams.

Overview
Supplier Quality Management - SCS Senior IC Assembly Series Production (SP) Engineer
Location: Kallang, Central Singapore
Company: AUMOVIO SE (Singapore); Asian and European liaison required; integral part of Advanced Electronics & Semiconductor Solutions (AESS) and Supplier Quality Management teams.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain a supplier quality management system for assembly process.
- Define and monitor KPIs, scorecards and quality performance targets for all assembly suppliers.
- Conduct periodic business and quality reviews with key partners to align expectations and improvement.
Compliance & Audits
- Plan & conduct VDA6.3 process audits & IATF16949 system audits at assembly suppliers.
- Ensure full compliance with APQP, PPAP and customer specific automotive standards.
- Support qualification and approval of new suppliers and new assembly processes.
Issue Resolution & Problem Solving
- Lead root cause analysis and CA/PA (8D) for assembly related issues such as die attach defects, wire bond failures, or package integrated issues.
- Monitor yield excursions and reliability test failures; work with suppliers to implement robust corrective actions.
New Process/Components Introduction
- Review and approve assembly process flows, control plans, PFMEA, PPAP and Change Notifications with Technology & Operations teams.
- Support NPI and New Component Introduction Activities to ensure assembly suppliers are qualified for APQP/PPAP submissions and mass production readiness.
- Drive suppliers towards zero-defect strategy, focusing on process capability (CP/CPK), poka-yoke, and mistake-proofing.
- Benchmark and share best practices across the supplier base to strengthen supplier competence.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain up-to-date audit records, PPAP packaging, supplier performance dashboards, and change control logs.
- Provide regular management updates on supplier quality status, risks and improvement progress.
Overall
- SQM within a category without leading responsibility.
- Secure time to market and quality to market for component introduction.
- Contribute to continuous improvement programs of supplier quality related processes, guidelines and systems.
- Academic degree in Engineering, Business administration or comparable qualification.
- 7+ years of experience in semiconductor supplier quality or process engineering, with at least 5+ years in assembly/packaging.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor backend process.
- Experience managing suppliers in a fabless or OSAT environment.
- Familiarity with automotive standards (IATF16949, AEC-Q100, APQP, PPAP) preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using 8D, FMEA, SPC and DOE.
- With experience in Purchasing, R&D, Controlling or comparable preferably Automotive Industry.
- Bilingual in English & Mandarin as needed to liaise with Asia and Europe offices.
- Strong decision-making skills and entrepreneurship.
- Project management knowledge, strong attention to detail and agile result-oriented negotiation skills.
- Eager to learn new skillsets and to develop personally.
- Strong team contributor, comfortable in collaborating with cross-functional and multicultural teams in a fast-paced, multi-time-zone environment.
- Excellent presentation and written communication skills to various levels of internal and supplier organizations.
- Willingness to travel regionally and globally to support supplier sites and audits.
