DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role

Exclusive Networks is currently looking to employ an experienced Sales Director to support the sales growth within Singapore and to lead the channel sales and vendor teams.

The role reports to the Country Manager Singapore and is a member of the Singapore Leadership team.

As the Sales Director, you will:

  • Represent EN to our partner and vendor ecosystem with a comprehensive understanding of our technology portfolio and market dynamics.
  • Provide executive-level sponsorship of strategic partners and vendors.
  • Lead the field sales team, being:
  • Channel Account Managers who each manages a list of named partner accounts to position all Exclusive Networks’ vendor solutions and service offerings.
  • Vendor manager team who each is responsible for representing and aligning our GTM for each of the vendors in their portfolio. Vendor managers also work with the top partners for each vendor and support the selling and quoting function.
  • Customer service representative team (quote team) who report into a team leader and manage the day-to-day quoting for all vendors.
  • Forecasting and pipeline creation.
  • Coach, train, motivate, and advise a team of sales representatives, ISRs and vendor managers.
  • Achieve company revenue and strategic objectives through effective planning, goal setting, analysing performance data, and projecting future performance.
  • Continuously develop personal leadership and training skills while ensuring the team is using effective sales skills to meet revenue objectives.
  • Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands customer base and extends reach to meet sales and business KPI’s
  • Research and promote our solutions into our partner ecosystem and align with end customer verticals.
  • Track, analyse, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends with the field sales team as they relate to partner relationships.
  • Support the leadership team with upstream reporting, forecasting, fortnightly and monthly APAC reviews.
  • Develop sales for all vendors across named accounts and target new resellers for incremental growth and develop for continued sales revenue.
  • Support the marketing and business development of EN’s technology and services portfolio.
  • Management of the business performance of EN solutions in line with the annual budget and both monthly and quarterly forecast.
  • Support the strategic development, operational management and performance of an organisation going through exponential growth.
  • Liaise effectively and collaborate with other departments of EN to ensure maximum sales efficiency.
  • Work with operations and vendor managers to achieve optimum stock and price list management.
  • Use and maintain company systems, data and processes to provide timely information to the business.
  • Coach and monitor team performance
  • Identify knowledge gaps within the team and recommend skills training
  • Oversee the sales team to ensure revenue sales objectives and standards are met, monitor progress regularly
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you

The ideal Sales Director :

  • Exceptional sales leadership skills ideally within the IT/distribution Industry with proven leadership of large teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs for our Vendors with the intent to drive channel expansion and technology adoption
  • Proven track record of success with sales discipline including forecasting, process and quota achievement.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work with a dynamic, diverse, growing business.
  • Proven leadership experience and skills executed through example, coaching and mentoring

In this role, you will support NTUC’s sub-department. You will be part of the team responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining job matching systems and processes including innovations for our employment and employability events. You will develop strategic workstreams, identify new opportunities, and manage close partnerships with internal stakeholders to understand the organisation's business goals across multiple divisions and teams. This includes preparing advice, think-pieces, and data analysis to synthesise concepts and information for decision making.

You will also work closely with external partners and vendors to ensure the smooth execution of service contracts and IT systems, including the procurement of upcoming systems and services for event operations and job matching needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute procurement to select the vendor(s) that is best able to meet the business needs and deliver the solution on time and within budget.

Liaise with the appointed vendor and internal corporate teams to ensure that:

  • Vendor develops, deploys, and documents the solutions that meet business needs and are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Drive consultation with internal stakeholders across teams to understand users needs to improve systems processes/ functions to meet Group’s and organisation’s current and emerging business needs.

Job Scope

  • Manage RFQ, NPD, NPI, FA and Product Transfer.
  • Prepare requisition for order, review supplier offers, make technical bid evaluation if required.
  • Liaise and coordinate with customers and other departments pertaining to project activities and order fulfilment
  • Work closely with customers on audit, engineering change order
  • Responsible for projects transferred from development to operations, ensuring that documents and procedures are in place to independently handle repeat sales orders.
  • Monitor and manage Suppliers’ performance to meet delivery, cost and quality targets
  • Identify and mitigate program risks and implement risk mitigation plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to meet Key Performance Indicators and Operational deliverables.
  • Lead the development of simulation test cases for the verification of process change initiatives.
  • Utilize manufacturing and/or business operations experience to quickly frame the operational challenge and visualize a solution
  • Support Design, Engineering activities of the day-to-day operations.
  • Responsibility & coordination of the complete certification process from application to approval for products
  • Creation of technical documentation, e.g. technical drawings (2D drawings and 3D models)
  • Knowledge of the supplier landscape and the materials (knowledge of who can manufacture which product)
  • Ensuring product compliance, enforce quality assurance protocols and standards

Requirement

  • NITEC / Diploma/ Degree in Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
  • 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing (cable technologies)

Job Overview:
The Vendor Quality Management and Sourcing Lead plays a role in overseeing the strategic sourcing of goods and services as well as ensuring the quality of products supplied by vendors. This role is responsible for sourcing suppliers that align with company requirements while managing vendor performance, quality standards, and compliance. The individual will work closely with suppliers to ensure high-quality deliverables, cost optimization, and continuous improvement in vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Quality Management:
    • Supplier Performance Monitoring:
      • Assess and monitor the quality performance of current and potential Asia suppliers.
      • Conduct regular audits of vendor facilities and processes to ensure they meet company quality standards.
      • Ensure vendors comply with contract specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Quality Improvement:
      • Develop and implement continuous improvement programs in collaboration with Asia suppliers.
      • Work with vendors to resolve quality issues, and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
      • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track vendor quality and operational performance.
    • Root Cause Analysis:
      • Lead investigations into quality-related incidents or defects, working with vendors to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
      • Ensure that corrective actions are properly documented and communicated within the supply chain and to relevant stakeholders.
    • Quality Documentation:
      • Maintain accurate records of quality audits, inspections, and corrective actions taken.
      • Ensure vendor certifications and compliance with quality standards (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma, etc.) are up-to-date.
  • Strategic Sourcing:
    • Sourcing Strategy Development:
      • Lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies to identify and onboard suppliers that meet business and quality needs.
      • Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to understand sourcing requirements and drive cost-effective sourcing solutions.
    • Vendor Selection and Evaluation:
      • Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to ensure alignment with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
      • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
    • Cost Optimization and Risk Management:
      • Identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring that quality is not compromised.
      • Conduct market research to monitor industry trends, vendor capabilities, and emerging technologies to continuously improve sourcing strategies.
      • Assess risks associated with vendor relationships and develop risk mitigation strategies.
    • Collaboration:
      • Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and delivery standards are consistently met.
      • Work closely with procurement, production, and operations teams to integrate supplier requirements into business processes.
  • Vendor Relationship Management:
    • Communication and Coordination:
      • Act as the main point of contact for suppliers, addressing issues, providing support, and fostering strong, long-term partnerships.
      • Communicate performance expectations clearly and ensure vendors adhere to them.
    • Negotiation and Contract Management:
      • Oversee the negotiation of contracts with suppliers, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
      • Ensure that contracts and agreements are legally compliant and reflect the company’s standards for quality and performance.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in vendor management, quality control, strategic sourcing, or procurement.
• Proven track record of managing vendor relationships, driving quality improvement initiatives, and achieving cost savings.
• Strong knowledge of quality control practices, supplier auditing, and performance metrics.
• Familiarity with industry standards, such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or lean manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data, conduct market research, and utilize sourcing software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba).
• Certification in supply chain or procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus
