Role Description

This is a real product design role, not a toy internship. You’ll be shaping the look, feel, and soul of features that thousands of users will touch. Depending on your background, you might:

Design mobile-friendly UI screens for food logging, AI explainability, and chat interfaces

Design publicity website UI/UX & SEO for brand exposure and conversions

Create high-fidelity prototypes that reflect actual user flows and app logic

Translate complex AI logic into clear, user-understandable experiences

Develop a design system to ensure visual and interaction consistency

You’ll work independently on scoped design tasks, with weekly async check-ins, collaborative reviews, and mentorship from our team. We move fast — and we ship what we design.

You don’t need a design degree — we care more about how you think and what you’ve built. We value portfolio projects and past experience more than your education.

Must-Have:

A strong portfolio showing UI/UX work (Figma etc.)

Ability to design for mobile-first interfaces (iOS/Android)

Visual storytelling skills — translating product logic into user-friendly screens

Comfort with user flows, wireframes, and component systems (low-code web tools like Wix editor etc.)

Self-starter attitude, with openness to feedback and iteration

Nice-to-Have:

Basic familiarity with health, food, or nutrition domains

Interest in designing for explainability or human-AI interaction

Experience with usability testing or user interviews

Core UX Design Responsibilities

• Play a key role in the end-to-end design process from research and discovery to wireframing, prototyping, and final design specs, including experiences that may incorporate intelligent or automated capabilities.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to validate design directions, especially in contexts where users are interacting with AI-driven recommendations or workflows.
• Translate business and user needs into intuitive, scalable design solutions, ensuring clarity and confidence in interactions where AI-driven features may influence user decisions or outcomes.
• Create user journeys, information architecture flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mock-ups using tools such as Figma, including flows that involve AI-triggered prompts, smart defaults, or personalised suggestions.
• Collaborate with the tech team to ensure proper implementation of design intent, particularly where back-end logic or AI-powered elements may impact the front-end experience.
• Maintain and evolve design systems or reusable UI patterns, adapting them to accommodate new interaction patterns introduced by intelligent automation or evolving user behaviours.
• Collaborate with product and tech teams to ensure that emerging AI-driven features are integrated into the user journey in a way that enhances usability, trust, and clarity.

Product Collaboration and Delivery Support:

• Assist in drafting user stories and acceptance criteria to support the product backlog.
• Collaborate with the product and tech teams during sprint planning and grooming discussions.
• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure experiences meet design andfunctional expectations.
• Track and triage design-related bugs or enhancement feedback post-launch.

Required Skills and Experience

• 3+ years of UX/UI design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating user-centred thinking.
• Proficiency in tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience collaborating in agile or hybrid delivery environments.
• Ability to communicate design rationale to cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple streams of design work

1. Lead the experience design for SHOPLINE's cross-border and European/American e-commerce ecosystem business lines, elevating the overall experience for partners, merchants, and customers in various regions.
2. Understand the business objectives and target users, conduct user research, and develop design strategies.
3. Deliver high-quality output using effective design methods at every stage, facilitating understanding, consensus, and decision-making within project teams.
4. Provide innovative design solutions for enterprise services and application scenarios on the platform, establishing design standards and guidelines for platform products.

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in product design, human-computer interaction, or related fields.
2. 5-8 years of relevant work experience, with a focus on designing complex B2B internet businesses and a track record of successful case studies. Ability to independently handle major design projects for 2-3 business lines.
3. Strong collaboration skills across disciplines and roles, ability to handle pressure and communicate effectively. Possess systematic thinking and a good understanding of quantifying user experience and tracking data.
4. Ability to quickly and accurately identify experience issues in complex business scenarios, and drive effective problem-solving.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Fluent English speakers are preferred.
6. Experience in cloud platforms, developer ecosystems, or partner ecosystem product experience design is a plus.
