Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of academic and career pathways: This includes familiarity with the universities application processes, various degree programs, career options, and the latest industry trends.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills: The ability to effectively communicate with students, parents and university representatives is essential.
- Dedication to student success: A genuine interest in helping students achieve their academic and career goals is crucial.
- Knowledge of MS Excel: Good understanding of Microsoft Excel as this position involves working with student data and maintaining spreadsheets.
Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Student Support: You must possess a strong ability to mentor, advise, and counsel students on critical aspects of their academic and career paths. You will provide guidance on subject choices, university selection, and the entire college application process. Your empathetic approach will ensure that students feel supported and understood throughout this process.
- Realistic and Practical Guidance: You must effectively manage expectations and present realistic and practical options to students and parents. You are expected to excel at navigating complex situations and offering sound advice that align with individual student goals and aspirations.
- In-depth Knowledge and Resource Creation: You must be highly resourceful and organized. You must be willing and ready to research and update the University Applications Handbook, and add other valuable resources for both students and their families.
- Meticulous Application Management: You must expertly manage all aspects of the college application process, ensuring timely submission of all required documentation to universities worldwide.
- Effective Communication and Outreach: You must be a highly effective communicator. You must have experience in delivering presentations, workshops, and webinars on college applications.
- Building Strong Community Connections: You will be a valuable asset for our institution in fostering connections between students and the wider professional world. You will support and assist in the planning and organisation of annual Career Fair Days, inviting experts and specialists from diverse fields to interact with students and parents.

As a University Admissions Counselor at Crimson Global Academy, your key function will be to provide exceptional, comprehensive university admissions support to our students. This role will see working directly with a substantial number of CGA students to help them discover university pathways, explore possible career fields and majors, construct academic plans, and strategize for university admissions success. Your responsibilities will be overseeing the entire student university admissions journey from end to end, with the goal of providing expert advice and guidance while ensuring that students achieve strong results to their best fit universities.
Your role will require a deep dive into all areas of the academic operations of the school to understand how to best support students in their academic journeys here at CGA. In addition to supporting students, this role will also involve interactions with parents in order to answer questions regarding academic plans, and gain alignment for university admissions success.
This remote work, part-time role requires a commitment of 20 hours per week. Working hours are flexible, but should be adapted to meeting a large base of students based in East Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
What are the main responsibilities for this role?
- Proactive Student Interaction: Develop strong relationships with students and parents from the moment that they enroll at CGA through proactive communication. This involves reaching out to students and scheduling meetings at set frequencies in order to keep them on track in their university application journey.
- Content Development: Working with team members to build out a robust set of asynchronous admissions content to guide students in their application journeys and ensure they are well supported by the CGA network.
- Administrative Excellence: Manage student materials and documents with attention and care. This role will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and submission of student documents such as past and current transcripts, recommendation/reference letters, and other materials related to university admissions.
- Extracurricular Development: Work with team members to develop and maintain CGA’s extracurricular support network. This includes liaising with students and teachers to ensure that CGA’s network of clubs and social opportunities provides an unparalleled value add for students and elevates their experience. Promote student participation and ensure activities align with the school’s mission and values.
- Continuous Improvement: Take an active role in improving all aspects of the CGA student experience, from admissions to onboarding, to student life, and alumni networking. Liaise closely with our admissions and academic teams in order to give and receive feedback on our student support systems.
What skills and experience are required?
- A strong understanding and willingness to master CGA’s academic offerings, structured around our two academic pathways: the British A Levels and US Diploma program.
- An advanced awareness of application pathways to universities around the world, with a particular focus on the US and UK, in order to craft curricula and strategies that will maximize admissions rates at these universities.

The Student and Academic Services Officer (Assessments and Progressions) provides essential administrative support for assessment processes, students’ results and appeal management, and academic progression. This role ensures compliance with academic and assessment policies, coordinates examinations, manages student results and appeal records, and supports academic staff and Unit Coordinators in their duties, especially in managing the marking and moderation process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessments and Progressions: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of examination systems, policies, and procedures. Oversee the organisation, scheduling, and security of assessments and exams, ensuring appropriate provisions for students with special requirements. Create progressive assessment schedules and coordinate invigilators and exam logistics.
- Student Management: Advise students on course requirements and academic and assessment matters, and manage requests for paper reviews, deferred assessments, and extensions. Handle cases of appeals, and academic misconduct and provide support to students at risk by referring them to appropriate academic resources.
- Marking and Moderation: Organise and monitor the marking process, ensuring timely distribution of feedback and results release to students. Manage assessment moderation in accordance with partner policies and coordinate the release of results within deadlines.
- University Procedures: Ensure student academic progress complies with regulations. Assist in preparing and attending Board of Examiners meetings and produce necessary reports.
- Other Duties: Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Senior Manager (Academic), contributing to the overall functioning of the Office of Pro Vice-Chancellor.
