Vice President, AML (Group Retail)

Responsibilities
  • Manage the review process of trigger reviews of GR portfolio in line with Bank's AML and regulatory policies.
  • Escalate concerns relating to trigger review process and gaps.
  • Manage a team to ensure trigger reviews are completed within SLA.
  • Guide and manage the team to ensure high quality standards of review write-up including SOW, transaction activity reviews, trigger reasons and risk assessment.
  • Provide guidance to team members on review requirements with Bank's AML/KYC policy and procedures, taking into consideration changes to Bank's policies and procedruees, regulatory developments and best practices.
  • Coordinate and assist with preparation of any periodic, regular and accurate reports to management.
  • To support the Bank's audit, quality review and remediation efforts.
  • Work and communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders for conducting trigger reviews.
Job Qualifications
  • At least 8 years of direct experience in the financial industry, preferably risk, governance and compliance related functions
  • Domain knowledge in AML and Sanctions (other Fin. Crime and Conduct risks are a plus)
  • Strong organization skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Senior stakeholder management, the ability to build constructive partnerships with diverse stakeholders and challenge where required
  • Able to create and articulate plan, action, solution and strategy well through Power Point or presentation mode
  • Demonstrates in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge in related fields

Purpose

We are looking for a passionate and inquisitive individual to join our Financial Crime Investigations Team ("the Team") in Group Wholesale Banking's Anti-Financial Crime Operations. As an investigation specialist, you will assume responsibilities to conduct comprehensive reviews in a timely manner.   • Conduct investigation / reviews into corporate fraud and financial crime risks in accordance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies.
  • Review account / transactions to establish any red flags on fraud and financial crime risks.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g. Relationship Managers and Business Units) and customers to obtain clarification and corroboration on account / transactions.

  • Support IT initiatives from a sharing perspective via investigative insights to enhance ongoing anti-fraud monitoring.

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate Degree from a recognized university (preferably Accountancy, Banking, Economics or Law) or relevant professional qualification in financial services or audit.
  • At least 3-5 years working experience in investigations and/or audit, either within the Banking Industry or in law enforcement.
  • Strong investigative mindset and attention to details.
  • Team player with strong inter-personal and communication skills and ability to network, engage and influence business stakeholders independently.
  • Excellent written report and skilled in MS office suites.

1. End-to-end accountability and Business Engagement

  • Serve as single point of contact for all business and operation needs and a liaison between the technology development, business and operation groups.
  • Prioritize requests and define Program Roadmap with business and operations.

  • Participate in overall project governance with key stakeholders
  • Review and sign-off key deliverables (e.g., BRD, Test Plan, FSD, Test Reports, Finance Planning…)
  • Overall accountable for providing T&O resources to execute program
  • Jointly accountable for program plan, budget/project finance, risks and stakeholder management with Business Program Manager

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 13+ years of relevant banking experience.
  • Master's / bachelor's degree in engineering/ business/ finance or equivalent.

Job Description
As a seasoned leader in payments transformation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our transaction banking landscape by driving strategic initiatives across the payment's ecosystem. Leveraging deep domain expertise, you will lead cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that align with evolving customer expectations, regulatory landscapes, and emerging technologies. This role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide change, optimize operational efficiency, and position the organization at the forefront of digital payments innovation.
Strategic Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the trusted advisor and single point of contact for senior stakeholders and key influencers within the designated business segment, ensuring alignment of the project portfolio with strategic business objectives.
Foster strong partnerships across business leadership, support functions, technology, and operations to drive impactful and sustainable change.
Lead prioritization of business initiatives and oversee the strategic management of the project pipeline to optimize delivery and value realization.
Collaborate closely with Business CIOs and FBA to shape and refine solution design and operating models that support business transformation.
End-to-End Change Leadership
Drive the full lifecycle delivery of complex, cross-functional payment programmes.
Lead the development of investment and business cases in partnership with technology teams, ensuring robust financial and strategic justification.
Establish and maintain a forward-looking resource plan aligned to the project pipeline, ensuring optimal allocation of capabilities.
Anticipate business challenges and define success criteria for initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and budgetary constraints.
Conduct comprehensive scoping and evaluation of new initiatives, factoring in scalability, maintainability, cost efficiency, operational impact, and technology risk.
Ensure business readiness by articulating how new operational and technical capabilities will be embedded and leveraged across the organization.
Lead implementation group planning initiatives, encompassing business process redesign, technology enablement, and change adoption.
Proactively identify risks and issues, assess impact, and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard delivery outcomes.
Governance & Portfolio Oversight
Establish and maintain governance frameworks for supported projects and programs, including PSC meetings and tracking of key actions and decisions.
Implement portfolio-wide governance standards to ensure consistent tracking, monitoring, and reporting of program deliverables.
Provide transparent reporting of risks and issues, enabling PSCs to make informed decisions and resolve emerging challenges effectively.
Sustainable Delivery & Continuous Improvement
Champion delivery excellence by enhancing quality and timeliness of outcomes aligned to business priorities and return on investment.
Optimize investment efficiency across the portfolio through effective management of interdependencies and resource utilization.
Drive operational efficiency by embedding automation and digital enablement into change initiatives.
Establish a sustainable framework for benefits realization, ensuring projects are delivered within contingency and commercialized effectively.
Job Requirements
Bachelors/master's degree in engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 18 years of banking experience, including extensive expertise in payments and leading large-scale transformational programmes.
Deep understanding of the full project lifecycle, technology development models, and cross-functional operational processes. Proven ability to scope and evaluate initiatives with considerations for scalability, maintainability, cost, operations, and technology risk.
Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities, with a track record of translating complex data and insights into actionable strategies that meet business objectives.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage divergent agendas, navigate ambiguity, and influence across all levels of the organization to drive win-win outcomes.
Strategic thinker with a passion for driving sustainable change. Demonstrated ability to mobilize networks, build bench strength, and lead teams through transformation while aligning with the broader business strategy and vision.
