ECO cum ECMO (tunnels construction)Duties and Responsibilities of ECO cum ECMO (LTA Tunnel project)

- Conduct regular inspections at site, machineries, vehicles, equipments and other potential areas to identify environmental hazards that can cause harm to public health

- Lookout for signs of pollution and identify cases of environmental damage and contamination

- Develop and implement plans to control or eradicate environmental hazards

- Execute plans to reduce noise, pests control and disease vectors.

- Lookout for compliance with environmental regulations and make recommendations to improve adherence to the guidelines and regulations

- Work with other project team members for efficient management of environmental risks in the worksite

- Strong understanding of local environmental laws and regulations in order to develop and implement environmental control measures

Requirements :

1) Possess the necessary certified environmental certificates

2) Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering or other relevant fields. Minimum qualification must be a diploma

3) Able to speak and write in English for periodic reporting and communicating with various stakeholders

4) BizSafe Level 2

5) Able to start work within 2 weeks after job offer will have an added advantage

Responsibilities of WSHC

1) Report to your safety officer and update him on safety violations and lapses

2) Assist WSHO on incident/workplace investigations and ensure and enforce correction action plans

3) Monitor and inspect work sites to ensure that safe work practices are carried out in all work operations and compliant with the WSH Act requirements, standards and practices.

4) Recommend and implement continuous improvements by coordinating safety awareness trainings, programs and initiatives.

5) Perform risk assessments, safety procedures and rectify any gaps to ensure full compliance with the statutory requirements.

6) Preparation and submission of WSH reports, checklists and Permit-to-work in accordance to the statutory requirements and standards.

7) In charge of safety documents and controls

Requirements

1) Minimum 5 years of WSH working experience in our local building construction industry.

2) Possess Advance Certification in WSH or Safety Coordinator Certificate.

3) Possess Work at Height Assessor Certificate or Managing Work at Height.

4) Team player with strong interpersonal and supervisory skills, self-motivated, proactive and results-oriented

5) Must be able to do 12 hours shift work

6) Must have MRT tunnelling WSHC work experience

• New Railway& Tunnel project in West area.
• Permanent role/ 5 workdays/ Basic $12k + Variable bonus
• Having Design for safety professional (DFSP) certification and experience in MRT/ railway projects is mandatory.

Job Description:

• Lead Risk Management team and coordinated Risk Management implementation.
• Coordinate with QPD and Internal Design team to prepare the documentation for Civil design safety and CNSS submission to LTA.
• Prepare and deliver all necessary Method Statement & Risk Assessments for the projects
• Facilitate the hazard identification and Risk assessments for preparation of safety submission.
• Attend LTA's project Safety Committee Meeting (PSCM) for review of CNSS
• Maintenance of risk registers.
• Liaise with the external RMFs on hazard management
• Liaise with various government authorities and external agencies to get the necessary approval.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering and/or relevant field.

You will be responsible for leading geotechnical aspects of tunneling projects from feasibility to construction, ensuring designs comply with relevant standards and regulations.

Your expertise will encompass geotechnical investigations, soil/rock data interpretation, stability analyses, settlement assessments, and ground movement predictions. Additionally, you will coordinate tunnel support systems, including shotcrete, segmental linings, ground improvement, and reinforcement.

You will also evaluate risks related to soft ground, rock tunneling, and mixed-face conditions, review instrumentation and monitoring plans, and prepare geotechnical interpretation reports.
