What is the opportunity?
As a Senior Trust Officer, you will be reporting to the Head of Trust Administration. You will be primarily assisting with the day-to-day administration duties of Trust structures managed in Singapore.
What will you do?
- Responsible for a portfolio of Trust relationships
- Ensure work is accurate and timely, safeguarding assets and maintaining all required documentations
- Work closely with Wealth Planners to develop new relevant Trust and Fiduciary offerings, ensuring further development and maintenance of a good working relationship with the Relationship Managers and Fiduciary Specialists
- Participate in client meetings, Trust review presentations with Wealth Planners, Private Bankers and clients as well as other key stakeholders as may be required by the role
- Develop strong working knowledge of the Asian market including cultural understanding of clients and their structuring needs
- Handle any ad hoc projects as assigned
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- The role would typically require 5 years of relevant experience in trust and fiduciary structuring
- Good technical ability in trust laws for respective jurisdictions and good operational knowledge on various types of trusts available for respective jurisdictions
- Good knowledge of applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
- Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Strong team player and excellent customer servicing skills
- Team player and self-motivated
Nice-to-have
- Being degree educated in in Accounting, Estate Planning is a nice-to-have, but not essential
- STEP qualified or ACCA is a nice-to-have

- Act as point of contact for clients, liaise with clients on the administration of trust accounts.
- Day-to day duties includes attend to client queries, coordinate trust account activities, carry out trustee function, and properly document the account files.
- Carry out day-to-day unit trust administration duties for unit trust accounts and ensure that net asset valuation reports are prepared and delivered to unitholders on timely basis.

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of working experience for Senior Trust Officers, in wealth planning, trust and other fiduciary services. Working experience is unit trust administration preferred.
- Professionally qualified – STEP or ICSA or studying towards the qualification.
- Strong technical knowledge in trust, tax, accounting and company law.
- Able to assist in reviewing of trust and related documentation.

1. Portfolio Management
• Assist in developing, and implementing the Trust strategies and guidelines to meet the Trust objectives.
• Prepare for regular review of all aspects of the Trust strategy and performance in order to deliver superior investment returns and achieve performance targets.
• Contribute to firm’s investment management strategy through research and market intelligence, including keeping current on competitive and regulatory landscape and best practices.
• Proactively assist to monitor and manage risks including FX, interest rate, and tax risk. Develop and execute appropriate strategies to minimize these risks and maximize returns.
2. Client Relationship Management & Business Development
• Develop the messaging for client reports; perform client presentations detailing portfolio activity and results.
• Prepare and coordinate on reports and analysis for investor and investor’s consultants as well as internal stakeholders (monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc), detailing investment-level and fund-level activity and results.
3. Transactions and Asset Management
• Work with the Investment and value creation teams on Trust's strategic plans, monitor operational and financial performance.
• Assist in the day-to-day management of assets and portfolios; work closely with a portfolio analyst to assess performance metrics and support the portfolio decision process.
• Preparation of materials used in the investment approval process.
• Participate in the evaluation and underwriting of the potential acquisitions and divestment opportunities, conducting reference checks, and identifying any significant issues to be addressed during the course of due diligence.
- Possess degree in Business, Finance or equivalent with 2 to 3 years’ experience.
- Proficient using software including Excel, Word, Teams/SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint, Argus. Proficiency in Power BI, Yardi and MRI would be an advantage.
- Highly numerate and possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Diligent, organised, reliable with attention to detail.
- Curious and willingness to suggest improvements.

Pre-requisites
