Working closely with and supporting the CEO of Keppel Infrastructure Trust (KIT), this is a key role responsible for managing and driving the performance and resiliency of KIT’s portfolio and investments. The role will be required to work closely with various stakeholders and functional teams across as well as to deliver superior risk-adjusted returns.
Key Responsibilities
Support the CEO in managing KIT’s portfolio and investments, including but not limited to:
- Determining the optimal portfolio construct and capital allocation based on long-term market outlook and other factors
- Refining and executing investment strategies to achieve KIT’s long-term objectives and drive superior risk-adjusted returns
- Leading and planning for the annual board strategy meeting
- Monitoring, evaluating and driving performance of the portfolio to drive returns and yields
- Determine long term strategic plans and options for various investments
- Identify initiatives to drive value and outperformance at portfolio companies
- Undertaking hold vs sell analysis
- Supporting acquisitions and divestments, and asset management of portfolio companies
- Supporting capital raising exercises
- Working with the finance and asset management teams on portfolio reporting
- Supporting investor relation efforts such as engaging and communicating with unitholders and potential investors on KIT’s mandate, investment strategies, performance and plans
Pre-requisites
- Possess degree in business, finance, economics or related field disciplines or equivalent
- Minimum 10-12 years of relevant working experience in infrastructure or private equity investments, consultancy or investment banking
- Excellent stakeholder management capability and able to work well across different functions and levels
- Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think out of the box, multi-task and work in fast pace dynamic environment
- Strong commercial acumen and high proficiency with financial analysis and modelling

Each portfolio manager will cover a set of portfolio clients and act as the first point of contact for the ongoing credit monitoring, analytics, internal risk and other reporting. PM supports the identification of cross-buy opportunities and is also closely involved in the delivery of ING’s capital velocity targets. The team will be supported by Global Lending Support in Dublin and the ING hub in the Philippines. The specific responsibilities of a Director include actively managing all facets of the individual files booked in your dedicated portfolio, including but not limited to:
- Periodic single transaction or portfolio credit reviews.
- Processing of amendment and waiver requests, preparation and submission to Risk of credit modifications, Q&A and approval processes with Risk, follow-up on the required legal amendments to the documentation until execution.
- Review of annual risk rating updates prepared by ING hubs’ administrative support teams.

- Interfacing with relationship managers and sector coverage specialists to ensure an active dialogue on credit trends, challenges and opportunities for individual clients.
- Contributing to idea generation for value added cross-buy or client opportunities.
- Staying up to date on organizational operating policies and procedures (i.e. Risk, Legal, etc.) to ensure appropriate protocols are implemented and followed, and facilitating accordingly.
- Contributing to the implementation of strategic initiatives, including enhancements to the credit monitoring process to improve business efficiency.
- Identifying productivity trends across the Front Office organization and using insights from reporting to create and drive efficient processes and improve productivity.
- Supporting the implementation of transformation projects.
- Staying up to date with external stakeholders / networking with a.o. Advisors (restructuring), lawyers to ensure an active awareness and understanding of prevailing trends, challenges and developments for leverage finance.
- Coaching more junior colleagues in their personal and professional development.
Qualifications / Education:
- University degree major in business/economics, law or relevant business discipline. CFA and/or MBA a plus.
- 8+ years of relevant lending execution and/or credit analysis experience in the banking industry.
- Prior exposure to specialized lending (project finance, object finance, acquisition finance) and/or real asset sub-sectors (energy, infrastructure, transportation & logistics, telecommunication and technology) a plus.
- Collaborative and inclusive team player with consistent high marks on Orange Code behavior; Embracing diversity and cross-cultural awareness and able to work effectively across functions.
- Strong financial and credit analysis capabilities.

Main activities at SFO:

Execution
- Work with inhouse legal for execution of investments (typically fund investments), including finalizing investment documents and terms, IC final approvals documentation, closing activities
Portfolio monitoring and management
- Monitor individual investments across asset classes against SFO mandate & objectives
- Take lead in active management of selected investees, including direct interactions with senior management to implement changes in strategy, finance, people and operations
- Preparing regular updates on investment performances to IC and shareholders, including updated performance reports, valuation, corporate actions, fundraising plans
Investment Committee support
- Support IC discussions and decision making, including documentation of IC Approvals
- Support SFO and IC to manage portfolio overall objective, risk management and portfolio allocation review
- Support discussions and re-alignment of strategic asset allocations ie recommend changes to portfolio based on market conditions
Main activities at Corporate Development
- Support & update corporate strategy, as market conditions & opportunities develop
- Maintain broad understanding of developments in Technology and Communications sector in Indonesia
M&A and corporate actions
- Active role in identifying and sourcing relevant opportunities to achieve corporate vision
- Lead & support execution of M&A and corporate actions – from structuring, negotiations and execution of selected M&A opportunities
- Ability to lead and support direct negotiations with counterparties
- Familiar with transaction steps & legal documents
Portfolio monitoring and active management
- Take lead in active management of selected portfolio companies, including direct interactions with senior management to implement changes in strategy, finance, people and operations
