Being part of a team, he/she supports transportation operations. He/She is also required to be familiar with the specialised handling procedures, where applicable.
Job Responsibilities/Key Tasks(External)
Business Administration Operations

• Communicate requirements and activities to stakeholders
• Participate in value-based culture and a culture of accountability in the organisation
• Adhere to organisation’s governance, compliance issues and reporting processes
• Adhere to organisation’s data governance and protection processes
• Work with allocated resources within business activities
• Apply operational policies, standards and procedures
• Perform basic risk assessment
• Support the department in incident or crisis management initiatives
  

• Perform continuous improvement activities
• Apply environmental protection procedures
• Perform activities to improve quality of logistics services
  

• Perform WSH activities to ensure personal compliance to requirements
• Perform safety and health risk assessment

Job Title: Transport Specialist

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Transport Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our logistics operation, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely collection and delivery of goods/cargo.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and deliver all goods/cargo on time, adhering to company standards and regulations.
• Complete accurate and timely delivery notes, signed by customers and in compliance with company policies.
• Scan and track goods/cargo for export shipments, submitting relevant documentation to customs as required.
• Retrieve cargo/shipments from clearance agents, conduct customer clearance, and scan and send shipments back to service stations.
• Loading and unloading cargo/shipments onto/from vehicles, ensuring safe handling and secure storage.
• Maintain company vehicles in good condition, performing weekly checks and reporting any issues.
• Perform daily vehicle pre-checks before each job, adhering to company driving policies.
• Additional tasks may include ad-hoc deliveries, collections, and other assignments as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 3 Driving License
• Good driving record and physical fitness
• Excellent time management and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and basic computer skills
