Translate financial and legal documents such as IPOs, annual reports, announcements, etc.
Ensure industry‐specific terminologies are accurately reflected in translation
Ensure style of language is in line with client’s requirements (i.e. Mainland‐style/Hong Kong‐style)
Requirements
Bachelor degree in Translation, Communications or equivalent
At least 1 year of translation experience, preferably in financial printing industry
Good command of written English and Chinese to perform translation of document
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Able to prioritise workload and work under pressure
Required to work on rotational shift duties (including afternoon shift) with shift allowance and overtime pay
Flexible work from home arrangement

This is a full-time remote role for a Mandarin Translator. The Mandarin Translator will be responsible for accurately translating written materials from English to Mandarin and vice versa. Day-to-day tasks include proofreading translations, ensuring cultural relevancy, and meeting project deadlines. The Mandarin Interpreter is a WORK FROM HOME position and is responsible for handling telephone or video calls on demand and renders meaning of conversations in the consecutive mode of interpretation between speakers of Mandarin/Cantonese and English. She/he processes information quickly and concisely, recognizes sensitive cultural differences, and is professional and courteous at all times.

The Mandarin interpreter will use appropriate industry terminology and understands common industry procedures and practices.

The calls may involve simple or complex, non-technical or technical subjects in Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel and Hospitality, 911 emergency services, Law Enforcement, Courts, and General Business.
