The candidate will have chance to be involved in both direct and indirect tax compliances and consultancy, as well as the managing of NetEase businesses from tax perspective. He/She will have the ability to work in a dynamic finance/tax atmosphere as well as interact closely with multiple business teams to ensure tax compliance and support business growth.
NetEase is seeking an enthusiastic Tax Senior Manager to join the tax team to support its rapid business growth. This is a role comprises both tax compliance and advisory aspects for a selected jurisdictions.
Responsibility:
- Work closely with the Finance department on tax compliance issues and be responsible for data preparation and collation for tax filings, tax audits, and litigation for Singapore and SEA jurisdictions;
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of direct and indirect tax returns with support from external tax consultants where relevant;
- Support HQ tax reporting requirements and provide guidance for tax accounting;
- Act as a partner to the business, work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that business operations and transactions are structured in a manner that is obliged and tax efficient;
- Contribute in the localization of tax planning projects, collaborate with internal and external resources on tax assessment of proposed business models;
- Research and analyze impact of tax legislation and regulatory proposals, and assist with communications to management; and
- Assist in optimizing end-to-end tax compliance procedures to mitigate risks and improve efficiency with coordination with other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above with at least 8 years of tax-related experience in large Multinational Corporations and/or accounting firms;
- Practical experience on Singapore tax with experiences dealing with EDB and IRAS as a plus;
- Strong organization, interpersonal communication, analytical and quantitative skills, and project management skills;
- Ability to work independently in a "hands-on" environment, and enthusiastic to learn from and work with cross-border team members in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; and
- A good team player;
- Mandarin proficency is required for this role as some stakeholders are from China.

- Providing instant summaries and recommendations based on uploaded documents like PDFs and Word files.
- Showing source references and citations so users can trust the information.
- Visualizing key metrics through embedded dashboards for quick analysis.
- Supporting secure access so only authorized users can interact with the tool.
This prototype will demonstrate how AI and data integration can transform decision-making for location studies, cost analysis, and strategic planning.
