Responsibilities
· Design Coordination: Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems within the overall project design.
· Design Calculations: Perform accurate calculations for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to meet project specifications and performance requirements.
· Supply Chain Management: Coordinate with overseas suppliers to source materials, ensure compliance with quality standards, and manage delivery timelines efficiently.
· Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to align MEP designs with project goals and adhere to overseas regulations.
· Code Compliance: Apply international building codes, standards, and best practices relevant to the project location, ensuring full compliance throughout the design and execution phases.
· Technical Meetings: Attend site meetings with consultants to review progress and resolve design or implementation issues.
· Drawing Review & Coordination: Study M&E drawings and coordinate works with consultants and sub-contractors to address and resolve any technical or site-related issues.
· Quality Assurance: Ensure that all M&E works are executed in accordance with approved specifications and drawings.
· Issue Escalation: Promptly inform the Project Director/Project Manager of any technical or site problems related to M&E works.
· Site Supervision: Monitor and supervise the progress of M&E works on-site to ensure quality and timely completion.
· Sub-Contractor Coordination: Oversee and coordinate sub-contractors' M&E work to ensure alignment with the project schedule and quality expectations.
· Ad-hoc Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements

Extensive knowledge of piping engineering, design principles, and mechanical systems for process plants
Proficiency in relevant industry standards (ASME, ASTM, API, etc.) and Singapore codes of practice
Strong understanding of materials selection, piping stress analysis, valves, and mechanical specifications
Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate mechanical system cost estimations for tenders
Proficient in MS Office applications
Familiarity with AutoCAD 2D and BIM software (Autodesk, Bentley, etc.)
Strong leadership abilities with proven track record of effective team management
Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for complex technical issues
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for facilitating technical discussions

Provide and prepare all types of reports and documents including statement of work, engineering reports, design documents, total cost of ownership analysis, drawing markup, budget, schedule, commissioning, design specification, etc.

Skills for Success
