Your ‘day to day’
In this role with Philip Morris Singapore Pte Ltd, you will manage and engage with retail business
owners / key decision makers within outlets of a defined territory to achieve overall commercial
objectives, through establishing and maintaining a high degree of rapport, maximizing retail
leverage, representing the company in a positive and professional way, focusing on teamwork
and displaying a high degree of work ethic.
Your accountabilities include:
- Contribute to the development of Area sales strategies through developing and proposing Territory sales plans. Ensure timely and efficient implementation of the approved plan through focusing and addressing the key business drivers of availability, stock weight, visibility, price and quality as well as maximizing retail leverage.
- Achieve assigned trade program targets/cycle objectives within area. Track and report on sales cycle results. Analyze results to identify issues and opportunities to continuously improve on Territory performance.
- Monitor, gather and provide quality data and insights on store. Analyze and use the information to enhance trade program mechanics, relationship building initiatives and appropriate in-store pricing strategies to capitalize on the insights.
- Analyze results and propose plans/activities to unlock commercial opportunities within territory with a deep understanding of the end-to-end consumer journey and strategic direction.
- Uphold corporate integrity and values while ensuring all activities comply with company policies and procedures, including operating guidelines and local laws.
Who we’re looking for

- 3+ years working experience in an FMCG company, focusing on sales, merchandising and/or retailer engagement preferred

Position Summary
Reporting into the Country Manager, the premise of this role is to support the implementation of the strategy and development of the Sales function within the company, ensuring an entrenched culture of operational excellence and initiative. The company is looking to enhance the dealer base to drive sales and develop operational efficiencies with the help of this appointed candidate in the setup of the Singapore and SEA, HK and TW business in Singapore. Expectations are that this role will be highly involved in setting up the dealer base for Singapore (mid-term) before engaging the business's key distribution partners (long term), working together to drive the overall performance of all sales activities to achieve sales quotas and promotional activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of annual sales revenue and sales gross profit plans with the Country Manager and Finance Controller by implementing sales strategies, analyzing trends and results.
- Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for dealers and territories - projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
- Drive sales for Trek and Bontrager Bikes and Accessories by monitoring dealers’ performance, and handling orders, prospecting, and running the sales process.
- Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price at dealer base by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
- Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
- Maintain dealer commitment & competency through MBRs, QBRs, and annual Win the Season events & completions of associated continuous improvement action items, hold dealers accountable.
- Develop the dealer channel strategy through Market Share Analysis (MSA) and its implementation to grow market share by understanding the competitive environment & identifying areas of opportunities.
- Develop, maintain & act on territory planning initiatives to maximise market share & sales growth
- Develop Dealer Program and Dealer channel strategy to appoint and develop retailers, sets up key sales KPIs to maximize our position in the market.
- Drive initiatives of Inventory management for dealers and distributor partners towards DIS targets of 90 and 120 days.
- Continuously monitor dealers’ status and develop their capability - check AR risk, ensure dealer assessment process, find potential dealers, etc.
- Provide product and sales training to Trek retailers in the market.
- Provide exceptional customer service and embody the Trek brand.
- Prepare regular reporting for sales results and consolidates data of each dealer/territory.
- 7-10 years of field sales experience
- Excellent strategic and problem-solving with strong relationship building skills
- Experience in field sales, sales operation, and sales management

Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price at dealer base by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
Maintain dealer commitment & competency through MBRs, QBRs, and annual Win the Season events & completions of associated continuous improvement action items, hold dealers accountable.
Develop the dealer channel strategy through Market Share Analysis (MSA) and its implementation to grow market share by understanding the competitive environment & identifying areas of opportunities.
Develop, maintain & act on territory planning initiatives to maximise market share & sales growth
Develop Dealer Program and Dealer channel strategy to appoint and develop retailers, sets up key sales KPIs to maximize our position in the market.
Drive initiatives of Inventory management for dealers and distributor partners towards DIS targets of 90 and 120 days.
Continuously monitor dealers’ status and develop their capability - check AR risk, ensure dealer assessment process, find potential dealers, etc.
Provide product and sales training to Trek retailers in the market.
Provide exceptional customer service and embody the Trek brand.
Prepare regular reporting for sales results and consolidates data of each dealer/territory.
Requirements
7-10 years of field sales experience
Excellent strategic and problem-solving with strong relationship building skills
Experience in field sales, sales operation, and sales management
Capability in analyzing numbers and finding implications
Customer first mentality, with a strong drive to personally take care of people
Demonstrate the ability to be self-motivated and work remotely

**KEY PURPOSE OF ROLE:**
+ Provides technical, clinical, educational and sales support to ensure safe adoption and growth of Abbott Structural Heart Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) portfolio for SG and MY, Structural Intervention (SI) portfolio in Key Accounts SG, Cardiac Surgery (CS) portfolio in Key Accounts SG
+ The Territory Manager works closely with implanting teams, surgeons and the Abbott field organizations to drive procedural and practice success.
+ This role also encompasses leadership responsibilities, requiring the candidate to mentor, train, and oversee the team in both business operations and clinical training, ensuring excellence in execution and team development.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
**Technical and Clinical Support:**
+ Provide quality technical support to help sites achieve procedural success.
+ Provide technical support to Abbott Sales and implanting teams for TAVI & SI implant procedures in accordance with Abbott guidance.
+ Provide technical leadership for TAVI & SI device procedures. Educate implanting teams on proper indications for TAVI & SI procedures. Provide support on questions regarding device suitability with measuring ability and CT reconstruction expertise. Provide comprehensive technical support including knowledge of imaging modalities (echo/angiography/CT), EKG, blood pressure, wave forms, and ancillary procedural solutions.
+ Knowledge of Clinical trial protocols, and SI and TAVI product IFUs for safe and effective use of devices.
+ Develop and maintain comprehensive clinical and technical product knowledge. Understands current published TAVI and SI relevant literature.
**Educational Support:**
+ Oversee local education and training activities including coordination and set up procedure simulators, facilitation of simulated TAVI procedures and procedural troubleshooting, and coordination and facilitation of staff in-services to include pre/peri/post TAVI & SI procedure.
+ Provide education on safe and effective use of Abbott products.
+ Educate/train hospital staff with proper valve loading instruction.
+ Supervise the team in organizing and facilitating procedural simulations, in-services, and training sessions.
+ Support and mentor team members to develop strong expertise in structural heart technologies
**Leadership & Team Support:**
+ Supervise and mentor the clinical and sales support team, ensuring alignment with Abbott's business objectives.
+ Provide coaching, guidance, and performance development to team members.
+ Act as a leader in the field to drive clinical excellence and operational efficiency.
+ Foster a collaborative team culture, ensuring a high-performance work environment.
**Customer Service and Sales Support:**
+ Support SEA Region sales strategy working with sales representatives and managers to achieve business plans within business unit and broader APAC organization. Contribute to the development of a strong team effort.
+ Ensure comprehensive technical and customer support within territory to maintain superior customer service levels and effective time management.
+ Assist with customer management of inventory ordering, shelf stock, and returns.
+ Participates in customer/society education meetings and conventions.
+ Respond to customer requests and resolve complaints in a prompt and effective manner.
+ Help drive and maintain quality initiatives and global best practice initiatives.

**Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Life Sciences or related disciplines
+ Minimum 6 years of experience in medical device sales, preferably in medical imaging or implants
+ Important to have Structural heart Imaging interpretation experience (TTE or TEE, CT & Angiograms)
+ Exceptional understanding of cardiac and vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
+ Experienced in communicating product's market advantages to physicians and hospital administration.
+ Experienced with wires, balloons, catheters, stents will be plus.
+ Experienced in teaching and educating medical personnel, peers and technical support personnel.
+ Imaging interpretation experience (TTE or TEE, CT & Angiograms).
+ Excellent influencing and consulting skills in Medical cardiovascular
+ Strong project management skills with experience coordinating programs.
+ Thorough working knowledge of medical terminology, medical procedures and the medical device industry.
+ Effectively build and maintain positive relationships with peers and colleagues across organizational levels and functions.
+ Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) to support cases in Cath Lab/Hybrid/OR.
