You should have the heart of a mentor and the mind of a filmmaker, someone who can inspire, guide, and train students to meet the real-world demands of the creative industry. If you're adaptable, forward-thinking, and always keeping pace with the latest trends in content creation and production (e.g Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence etc), we’d love to have you onboard.

The Candidate Should Be

  • An experienced media practitioner with at least 5–7 years of work experience in the local/global media industry, supported by a strong working portfolio of professional works.
  • A creative thinker with strong multimedia content development, management, and production skills.
  • Experience in Executive Producing, Directing, and/or Screenwriting would be advantageous.
  • An advocate of interdisciplinary collaborations. Candidates with strong industry links are preferred.
  • Experience with emerging technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR) or Artificial Intelligence (AI) in media production will be an added advantage.

As we continue to expand our social media presence, we are looking for a passionate Video Production Intern to help maximize the impact of our video content across our social media channels.

What You'll Do

  • Edit video content for use across social platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Add video captions and subtitles, music and sound effects, audio enhancements, and platform-specific optimizations.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency and engaging storytelling.
  • Adapt content into different formats (e.g., short-form, long-form, portrait, landscape) to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Track video performance metrics and suggest improvements for future content.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media video trends, formats, and best practices.

What We're Looking For

Sony Pictures Entertainment is one of the industry’s leading content providers in producing, distributing and delivering programming worldwide in every genre and for every platform.

Based in either our Singapore or Hong Kong offices, and reporting to the Director, Commercial Strategy, Asia, this role will provide support in developing Commercial Strategy for the Sony Pictures Television group across the entire Asia region (India and sub-continent, Southeast Asia, Greater China, South Korea, and Japan) with a primary focus on content licensing activities.

This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated candidate to work in a fast-growing part of the media industry, interact with executives and contribute to Sony Picture Entertainment’s strategy and growth.

Responsibilities Include

  • Assist in the development and execution of commercial strategies that align with Sony Pictures’ goals and objectives, and achieve our APAC team’s financial goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Formulate commercial proposals, term sheets, build financial models, and conduct market and deal-level analysis to support commercial negotiations associated with TV and Feature Film Content licensing deals across all of Asia.
  • Take ownership of analyzing a high volume of commercial deals in close collaboration with SPT’s Asia Sales and Sales Planning teams, ensuring both timely execution and comprehensive evaluation. Deliver well-structured financial models and deal recommendations to the Reporting Manager and/or Senior Management.
  • Collaborate with offices across Asia, Los Angeles, and London, as well as across various functions including Finance, Legal, Marketing, Transactional Sales, and New and Emerging Media teams to manage commercial discussions, contracting long forms, and best practices across the APAC region.
  • Assist in the implementation and execution of internal processes and guidelines for all aspects related to deals, including deal review and approval processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth and improvement with the Director of Commercial Strategy.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects as required.

Candidate Requirements

  • MBA degree holder is highly preferred.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management and/or Administration, Actuarial Science, Management Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 4 to 5 years in Commercial Strategy Analytics, Sales or Sales Analytics, Investment Banking/Private Equity Analytics, Corporate Finance/Business Analytics, Business Consulting, is preferred.
  • Ability to navigate through a steep learning curve to quickly understand the diverse market dynamics across Asia, along with Content licensing deal structuring processes and licensing terms.
  • Has a strong aptitude for crafting creative deal structures, with the ability to thoughtfully evaluate trade-offs and assess the commercial implications of various options.
  • Proven experience of owning and driving commercial strategy process and outcomes.
  • High numeracy and analytical ability, problem-solving with rigor, excellent attention to detail.
  • Persuasive communication skills, clear presentation, and written skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Committed, proactive and driven to deliver.
  • Able to work with a wide range of people of different seniority levels, inside and outside the company.
  • Strong strategic mind-set and focus, with the ability to work in teams and under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the Media Entertainment Industry in Asia is highly preferred. A passion for the Television, Film, and Entertainment industry is a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills: Excel (Pivot Tables, Macros, etc.), Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in English is required; ability to speak Mandarin, Korean, and /or Japanese a plus.
  • This role may be based in either Singapore or Hong Kong. In order to enable us to meet statutory and regulatory obligations of the hiring country’s immigration system you must have the appropriate immigration permission needed to work and reside in the relevant hiring country for the duration of the employment.

Based in either our Singapore or Hong Kong offices, and reporting to the Director, Commercial Strategy, Asia, this role will provide support in developing Commercial Strategy for the Sony Pictures Television group across the entire Asia region (India and sub-continent, Southeast Asia, Greater China, South Korea, and Japan) with a primary focus on content licensing activities.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in the development and execution of commercial strategies that align with Sony Pictures’ goals and objectives, and achieve our APAC team’s financial goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Formulate commercial proposals, term sheets, build financial models, and conduct market and deal-level analysis to support commercial negotiations associated with TV and Feature Film Content licensing deals across all of Asia.
  • Take ownership of analyzing a high volume of commercial deals in close collaboration with SPT’s Asia Sales and Sales Planning teams, ensuring both timely execution and comprehensive evaluation. Deliver well-structured financial models and deal recommendations to the Reporting Manager and/or Senior Management.
  • Collaborate with offices across Asia, Los Angeles, and London, as well as across various functions including Finance, Legal, Marketing, Transactional Sales, and New and Emerging Media teams to manage commercial discussions, contracting long forms, and best practices across the APAC region.
  • Assist in the implementation and execution of internal processes and guidelines for all aspects related to deals, including deal review and approval processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth and improvement with the Director of Commercial Strategy.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • An MBA degree holder is highly preferred.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management and/or Administration, Actuarial Science, Management Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 4 to 5 years in Commercial Strategy Analytics, Sales or Sales Analytics, Investment Banking/Private Equity Analytics, Corporate Finance/Business Analytics, Business Consulting, is preferred.
  • Ability to navigate through a steep learning curve to quickly understand the diverse market dynamics across Asia, along with Content licensing deal structuring processes and licensing terms.
  • Has a strong aptitude for crafting creative deal structures, with the ability to thoughtfully evaluate trade-offs and assess the commercial implications of various options.
  • Proven experience of owning and driving commercial strategy process and outcomes.
  • High numeracy and analytical ability, problem-solving with rigor, excellent attention to detail.
  • Persuasive communication skills, clear presentation, and written skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Committed, proactive and driven to deliver.
  • Able to work with a wide range of people of different seniority levels, inside and outside the company.
  • Strong strategic mind-set and focus, with the ability to work in teams and under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the Media Entertainment Industry in Asia is highly preferred. A passion for the Television, Film, and Entertainment industry is a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills: Excel (Pivot Tables, Macros, etc.), Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in English is required; ability to speak Mandarin, Korean, and /or Japanese a plus.
  • This role may be based in either Singapore or Hong Kong. In order to enable us to meet statutory and regulatory obligations of the hiring country’s immigration system you must have the appropriate immigration permission needed to work and reside in the relevant hiring country for the duration of the employment.

Are you an experienced Executive Assistant looking to make an impact in the dynamic world of entertainment? Sony Pictures Entertainment’s TV Distribution Division for APAC is seeking a dedicated and proactive Executive Assistant to provide secretarial and administrative support to three senior executives in our Singapore office. Join us in shaping the future of entertainment across the Asia Pacific region!

What You Will Do:

Calendar and Meeting Management

  • Manage calendar and meetings, including organizing calls, meetings, and events.

  • Communicate with senior level executives both internally and externally, maintain contact lists, and build relationships with key stakeholders and their executive assistants.

  • Professionally liaise with executives and their assistants around the world and throughout the organization to handle requests and queries.

  • Sit-in on meetings with executives and clients. Provide support as needed during meetings, including capturing notes and following up with meeting notes.

Travel and Event Coordination

  • Plan, organize, and book travel, including air, ground transport, and hotel arrangements.

  • Organize both internal and external client meetings and events both in Singapore and around the region, supporting events internally and/or remotely.

  • Arrange, host, and work events both in the office and outside of the office, including film screenings, team activities, industry conferences, and other events locally and around the region.

  • Manage and support regular screenings in the office for employees, clients, and guests.

Administrative Support

  • Support the management of the Singapore office including organizing and managing supplies, storage room, and all other administrative support as required.

  • Provide administrative support to the South East Asia sales team, Digital Strategy and New Media team, and Research team, including preparing sales and marketing materials and PowerPoint decks, curating content lists for sales pitches, performing market research on media industry trends in South East Asia and the broader APAC region.

  • Provide support with the creation of organization and strategy decks and reports, sales support, and analyses, as needed.

  • Assist senior executives with ad-hoc projects.

  • Perform any relevant duties with respect to the TV Distribution business both in Singapore and across the Asia Pacific region as required.

  • Prepare, reconcile, and submit Travel & Entertainment (T&E) reports in a timely manner.

  • Liaise with vendors and customers and manage internal tracking documents across markets.

What You Need:

  • Minimum 5 years of executive assistant experience, preferably with experience supporting senior level executives.

  • University degree ideal, with additional qualifications in secretarial support a plus.

  • Fluency in both written and spoken English required. Other language skills, such as Mandarin, Japanese, and Korean is a plus.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Timeliness, responsiveness, and the ability to meet demanding and shifting deadlines.

  • Self-starter, highly reliable, and pro-active. Ability to anticipate needs of the business and executives.

  • Trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality.

  • Pro-active in keeping supervisor informed of work status and critical needs.

  • Mature, independent, sensible and tactful with a positive and helpful working attitude.
