About The Opportunity

Nethermind is seeking an experienced technical leader to drive our product innovation and engineering excellence across Asia-Pacific. Reporting to the APAC Regional Managing Director (RMD), you'll lead the technical execution of our regional strategy while building world-class products that bridge blockchain and AI technologies for enterprise clients.

This is a senior technical leadership role where you'll have significant autonomy over product and engineering decisions while working closely with regional leadership to achieve our ambitious growth targets. Your Mission

Transform Nethermind's APAC presence from a promising footprint into a revenue-generating powerhouse by building world-class products that bridge blockchain and AI technologies for enterprise clients across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Product Leadership

  • Define and execute the technical product roadmap aligned with APAC business strategy
  • Lead product development lifecycle from ideation to launch for 1 flagship product
  • Make technical decisions on architecture, tech stack, and feature prioritization
  • Work with the Regional Managing Director to ensure products meet market requirements
  • Create technical IP in blockchain/AI convergence

Engineering Excellence & Team Building

  • Assemble and/or Build and lead a team of engineers and product managers across APAC
  • Manage engineering hiring, performance, and retention in collaboration with regional leadership
  • Define engineering standards, development methodologies, and quality benchmarks
  • Manage technical budget allocation within approved R&D budget

Technical Strategy & Innovation

  • Provide technical expertise to support the Regional Managing Director's business development efforts
  • Lead technical due diligence for partnerships identified by regional leadership
  • Define APAC-specific technical requirements based on regional needs
  • Drive innovation in areas unique to APAC markets
  • Own technical documentation and developer education initiatives

Supporting Business Development

  • Serve as senior technical resource for customer meetings arranged by the RMD
  • Conduct technical deep-dives and proof-of-concepts for enterprise prospects
  • Partner with sales team to articulate technical value propositions
  • Ensure successful technical implementation for customers acquired by business team
  • Provide technical input for pricing and commercial discussions when requested

Technical Ecosystem Development

  • Represent Nethermind at technical conferences and developer forums
  • Build relationships with technical leaders at partner organizations
  • Lead technical partnerships with educational and enterprise research institutions
  • Manage developer community engagement and open-source contributions
  • Support the RMD in building Nethermind's technical reputation in APAC

What You Bring:

Essential Experience

  • 8+ years in technical product management and/or engineering leadership roles
  • 5+ years working in APAC markets with understanding of regional technical requirements
  • Proven track record of shipping enterprise products and scaling engineering teams
  • Experience building and leading distributed teams of 20+ engineers
  • Deep technical expertise in distributed systems, with blockchain experience preferred
  • Track record of supporting business growth through technical excellence

Technical Expertise

  • Strong foundation in distributed systems, cryptography, and consensus mechanisms
  • Understanding of blockchain architecture, smart contracts, and DeFi protocols
  • Familiarity with AI/ML systems and their intersection with blockchain
  • Ability to architect systems for enterprise-grade reliability and scale

Working with the Regional Managing Director

As a key member of the APAC leadership team reporting to the Regional Managing Director, you will:

  • Execute Technical Vision: Implement the technical components of the regional strategy
  • Enable Business Growth: Provide technical expertise to support business development
  • Manage Technical Operations: Own day-to-day engineering and product decisions within strategic framework
  • Advise on Technical Matters: Serve as the RMD's technical advisor for strategic decisions
  • Represent Technical Excellence: Be the senior technical voice in customer and partner meetings

The RMD sets the overall regional strategy and business targets, while you ensure technical execution excellence and product delivery to meet those objectives.

Reporting to the APAC Regional Managing Director (RMD), you'll lead the technical execution of our regional strategy while building world-class products that bridge blockchain and AI technologies for enterprise clients.
This is a senior technical leadership role where you'll have significant autonomy over product and engineering decisions while working closely with regional leadership to achieve our ambitious growth targets. You'll have the autonomy of a founder with the backing of a global blockchain leader, shaping the future of enterprise blockchain and AI solutions across the world's most dynamic markets.
Your Mission
Transform Nethermind's APAC presence from a promising footprint into a revenue-generating powerhouse by building world-class products that bridge blockchain and AI technologies for enterprise clients across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Product Leadership
Define and execute the technical product roadmap aligned with APAC business strategy
Lead product development lifecycle from ideation to launch for 1 flagship product
Make technical decisions on architecture, tech stack, and feature prioritization
Work with the Regional Managing Director to ensure products meet market requirements
Create technical IP in blockchain/AI convergence
Engineering Excellence & Team Building
Assemble and/or Build and lead a team of engineers and product managers across APAC
Manage engineering hiring, performance, and retention in collaboration with regional leadership
Define engineering standards, development methodologies, and quality benchmarks
Manage technical budget allocation within approved R&D budget
Technical Strategy & Innovation
Provide technical expertise to support the Regional Managing Director's business development efforts
Lead technical due diligence for partnerships identified by regional leadership
Define APAC-specific technical requirements based on regional needs
Drive innovation in areas unique to APAC markets
Own technical documentation and developer education initiatives
Supporting Business Development
Serve as senior technical resource for customer meetings arranged by the RMD
Conduct technical deep-dives and proof-of-concepts for enterprise prospects
Partner with sales team to articulate technical value propositions
Ensure successful technical implementation for customers acquired by business team
Provide technical input for pricing and commercial discussions when requested
Technical Ecosystem Development
Represent Nethermind at technical conferences and developer forums
Build relationships with technical leaders at partner organizations
Lead technical partnerships with educational and enterprise research institutions
Manage developer community engagement and open-source contributions
Support the RMD in building Nethermind's technical reputation in APAC
What You Bring:
Essential Experience
8+ years in technical product management and/or engineering leadership roles
5+ years working in APAC markets with understanding of regional technical requirements
Proven track record of shipping enterprise products and scaling engineering teams
Experience building and leading distributed teams of 20+ engineers
Deep technical expertise in distributed systems, with blockchain experience preferred
Track record of supporting business growth through technical excellence
Technical Expertise
Strong foundation in distributed systems, cryptography, and consensus mechanisms
Understanding of blockchain architecture, smart contracts, and DeFi protocols
Familiarity with AI/ML systems and their intersection with blockchain
Ability to architect systems for enterprise-grade reliability and scale
Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern engineering practices

Working with the Regional Managing Director
As a key member of the APAC leadership team reporting to the Regional Managing Director, you will:
Execute Technical Vision : Implement the technical components of the regional strategy
Enable Business Growth : Provide technical expertise to support business development
Manage Technical Operations : Own day-to-day engineering and product decisions within strategic framework
Advise on Technical Matters : Serve as the RMD's technical advisor for strategic decisions

The Regional Product Strategy team partners across the organization to deliver competitive investment solutions and compelling insights that meet our clients’ investment needs. The team identifies market trends, opportunities and challenges, recommends product strategy, spearheads and develops new product solutions and pricing, enhance existing product suite for both asset retention and attraction of new flows, and offers product expertise combining investment and market insight.

The Product Strategy Manager will work to ensure that the organization excels in providing competitive and innovative product solutions that meet the changing needs of our investors by thorough research and product development efforts across retail, wealth and institutional channels. The role supports across Asia Pacific business channels in determining product gaps, researching and analyzing new and innovative product ideas, pricing strategies, product positioning and support regional product related initiatives in Asia Pacific.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?

  • Evaluate market, regulatory, competitors and investment trends to determine potential implications for Franklin Templeton product ranges. Identify and recommend product opportunities within the Asia Pacific and offshore markets, including new, innovative product ideas, changes to existing products, and potential products for merger/closure
  • Conduct independent data analysis to identify forward looking trends to solve for evolving clients’ investment needs in Asia
  • Research market competitiveness and pricing for different investment solutions and client segments in the region
  • Identify gaps within existing product range and develop innovative product proposals to capitalize on investment trends and changing client needs. Determine product attributes and key features, and establish competitive fee structure for new products
  • Develop actionable strategy to introduce innovative product offerings across the firm’s investment capabilities, drive client acquisition, retention and competitive positioning
  • Develop product proposals and ascertain feedback to determine product attributes, key features (investment goal and strategy, positioning in the market, pricing, etc.) for both local domiciled and cross-border funds
  • Develop and present business cases (recommend new product ideas, potential changes to existing products, including product mergers/ closures) to internal stakeholders and global product committee
  • Lead and take accountability of product initiatives and drive to completion
  • Support the Asia regional business by providing consultative and direct assistance to product-related inquiries
  • Solicit feedback from distribution partners on the proposed product ideas and changes
  • Prepare and participate in industry discussions and events.
  • Develop and deliver presentations and training materials for internal and external audiences; articulate appropriate competitive positioning for new and existing products within local markets and sales channels
  • Support the gathering and retention of assets under management by working closely with the investment teams and sales professionals across all distribution channels
  • Assists in communicating information on product development lifecycle to internal stakeholders across business functions

What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Strong knowledge of distribution channel expertise and client segment knowledge, expertise across multiple channels (e.g. retail, wealth and institutional in Asia)
  • 8 - 12 years of product initiation or development experience with a financial institution, consulting organization, pension fund, endowment or foundation
  • Comprehensive understanding of Asia Pacific industry & regulatory developments, market and product trends
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and other office products required
  • Knowledge of data sources for performance, flows and relevant industry competitive information (Morningstar, Broadridge, Lipper, Bloomberg, MPI, eVestment)
  • Self-driven with positive attitude and a team player
  • Experience working with cross-functional and multi-channel team
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills. Written and verbal skills in Mandarin language has added advantage due to regional coverage
  • CFA (or working toward completion) is preferred
  • BA or BS in Finance or Economics desired

Job Description

As a member of the Product Strategy & Development Team for Brookfield Asset Management’s Global Client Group, you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to investment product innovation and strategic growth initiatives.

This includes evaluating new business concepts and product ideas, generating research and market intelligence related to the broader industry and competitor landscape, analyzing financial models, and developing new product vehicles, features and capabilities, all with the purpose of spearheading increased growth and helping to identify the next big opportunity for the Firm.

You will be responsible for:

  • Generating data-driven insights to source and evaluate new business concepts and new product ideas in support of the Firm’s growth goals
  • Leading product focused initiatives, including new product launches, enhancements to existing products, and customized client investment solutions
  • Building relationships with global peers and senior stakeholders across the investment, fundraising, marketing, legal, tax and fund operations teams
  • Researching and monitoring key industry and competitor trends in areas of focus for the Firm
  • Performing financial analyses and modeling product propositions to understand investor outcomes and manager considerations to inform business decisions
  • Driving bespoke strategic partnership proposals that leverage the full range of the Firm’s capabilities to address investors’ goal
  • Serving as a leader on the team, managing junior members across regions on projects and serving as a reporting manager for local junior staff

Candidate Profile

  • (8)+ years of financial services‐related experience with a focus on the alternative asset management industry
  • Experience in private markets product development and implementation
  • Strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity
  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation (PowerPoint) skills
  • Robust research, analytical and quantitative skills
  • Experience in project management and demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
  • Team player with a positive attitude and proactive approach to work
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to build relationships and work with professionals at all levels and across departments within the organization
  • Undergraduate degree with an excellent academic background; additional credentials including CFA, CAIA, MBA or CPA a bonus

Job Description
