Job Role: Assistant Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Engineer to join our team in providing exceptional maintenance support to fleet owners. This key role involves attending on-site depot field services, coordinating with customers to resolve vehicle breakdowns, and offering technical assistance to identify solutions to electrical and mechanical problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance Support : Provide prompt and effective resolution of vehicle breakdowns through on-site depot field services and collaboration with customers.
• Engineering Support : Offer technical expertise to customers, analyzing and resolving electrical and mechanical issues in a timely manner.
• Customer Relationship Management : Foster strong working relationships with fleet customers, addressing their needs and concerns through regular communication.
• Workplace Safety & Health : Uphold high standards of safety regulations and ensure the workshop adheres to 5S Housekeeping principles.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in the Automotive Industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Provide technical expertise for maintenance of various plant equipment’s and systems essential for manufacturing processes to achieve maximum plant availability. This involves maintaining and optimizing equipment and facilities in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Engineering Practices and EHS requirements. Your main responsibilities are:

• Develop, Implement, Plan and execute predictive/preventive maintenance program for equipment’s and systems to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of manufacturing equipment’s

• Initiate change management, provide impact assessments and carrying out field equipment modifications. This includes managing project schedules, resource plans, coordinating with vendors and handling material management
• Perform testing, commissioning and qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ) activities as applicable
• Identify opportunities to enhance energy efficiency in equipment’s and facilities to support sustainable practices
• Perform or participate in HAZOP/Risk assessment to actively identify and implement mitigation actions for engineering and maintenance activities
• Participate in regulatory audits and ensure compliance with regulations and standards in engineering and maintenance areas
• Adhere to regulatory standards by diligently maintaining precise documentation of maintenance activities, including thorough records of repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Create Standard operating procedures and Provide training to personnel on handling of equipment’s and performing Maintenance tasks

What you have to offer:

• A bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Chemical or relevant fields
• More than 7 years of experience with strong mechanical discipline knowledge together with hands-on working experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing will be an advantage
• GMP expertise and good understanding of working in regulated environment
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining highly automated equipment’s and systems
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities effectively and work at the start-up environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate in dynamic, cross functional matrix environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and preferably with good proven knowledge in lean sigma methodology

Job Responsibilities:

• The Facilities Manager assists the SFM in leading the Facilities Operation team, which comprises individuals with multi-disciplinary technical skills. They ensure the proper submission of maintenance works and service plans for all systems and equipment by specialists and contractors prior to user endorsement.

• He/she assists the FOM in overseeing maintenance tasks coordinated by the maintenance team and contractors, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.

• He/she assists users with repairs, replacements, alterations, and additional works, providing comprehensive cost estimations within stipulated timeframes.

• The submission of all deliverables required under MWS, AHWS, Estate Administrative Services, and Tenant Fit-Out shall be within his/her responsibilities.

• He/she shall also be the competent person to assist the FOM in vetting and approving monthly reports and other submissions related to Maintenance Works and Services (MWS), Ad-Hoc Works and Services (AHWS), Estate Administrative Services, Facilities Management & Services, Professional Engineers, and Specialist Services before submission to the Authority.
