Role: Technology Architect (Multiple Positions) - 1-Year Contract (Long-Term Engagement

What You'll Own & Drive

• Design, deliver, and refine end-to-end technology architecture for enterprise platforms.
• Lead DevOps transformation using GitLab-based DevSecOps pipelines for secure, fast, and repeatable delivery cycles.
• Build container-based architecture solutions to enhance scalability, resilience, and agility.

Operational Excellence

• Oversee infrastructure architecture operations to ensure seamless day-to-day performance.
• Partner with third-party operations teams to manage infrastructure, configuration management, and security testing.
• Coordinate with vendors for swift incident resolution and service restoration.
• Deploy machine learning toolsets into production environments to power predictive analytics and smarter operations.
• Identify opportunities to optimise automation, integrate security, and improve operational efficiency.

Governance & Compliance

• Maintain server and application certificates to ensure compliance and security resilience.

We're looking for a hands-on Technical Architect to design and deliver enterprise-grade solutions across IAM, cloud-native systems, and AI. You'll lead cross-functional teams and play a key role in implementing secure, scalable, and modern applications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Architect and Lead End-to-End Solutions: Design and deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing systems across IAM/IDM, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
• Lead Technical Execution: Provide hands-on leadership in full-stack development using Angular, React, Spring Boot, and Node.js; ensure high code quality through vibe coding and modern DevOps practices.
• IAM/IDM Implementation: Architect and implement enterprise-grade IAM solutions with a focus on ForgeRock (AM, IDM, DS, IG), adaptive MFA, OAuth2/OpenID Connect, and passwordless authentication.
• Cloud Architecture & DevOps: Lead the design and implementation of AWS and Azure cloud solutions, automate infrastructure using Terraform, and manage CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
• Microservices & Event-Driven Systems: Design resilient microservices architectures and implement event-driven solutions using Kafka, RabbitMQ, and modern API gateways (Kong, NGINX).
• AI Strategy & Innovation: Drive AI adoption within the organization by designing and deploying RAG-based AI agents and integrating AI into existing enterprise systems.
• Mentor & Collaborate: Guide cross-functional teams, promote engineering best practices, and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure Security & Compliance: Embed IAM governance, data security, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, PSD2) in all system designs.

Job Requirements:

• Education:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferably 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership or architectural role.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing IAM/IDM systems, particularly with ForgeRock stack (AM, IDM, DS, IG).
  • Hands-on development experience with Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, React, and Node.js.
  • Strong understanding of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, and identity federation protocols.
  • Solid grasp of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and automation tools (Terraform, Helm, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • In-depth experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and DevOps culture.
  • Expertise in microservices, DDD, event-driven architectures, and API design using REST, GraphQL, and gRPC.
• AI & Innovation:
  • Practical experience in building and deploying AI agents or RAG systems using LangChain, Haystack, or similar frameworks.
  • Familiarity with modern LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, LLaMA) and AI development environments (Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and strong communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an Agile/SAFe environment.
• Preferred:
  • Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) or ForgeRock IAM solutions.
  • Exposure to AI agent frameworks like Phidata, CrewAI, or AutoGen.

Technical Visionary Role

The Technical Architect position involves conceptualizing and designing the technical infrastructure for projects, aligning with business objectives and IT strategies. This includes evaluating and selecting suitable technologies and vendors for proposed solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive technical documentation for proposed solution architectures to facilitate informed decision-making
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, subject matter experts, and vendors to ensure technical solutions adhere to enterprise architecture principles, standards, and guidelines
• Evaluate and select suitable technologies and vendors for proposed solutions to ensure scalability and resilience
• Effectively communicate with stakeholders to drive the solution architecture process and secure approvals
• Advocate for technical solutions and obtain buy-in from IT management and the enterprise technology/architecture board
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improve solution designs

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, coupled with at least 10 years of experience in the financial industry
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in solution architecture roles, with a deep understanding of system and project implementation lifecycles within a banking context
• Proven ability to conceptualize scalable and resilient technical architectures that involve end-to-end integration of channels, systems, middleware, data warehouses, and more
• Strong proficiency in system integration patterns, enterprise architecture, microservices architecture, cloud computing services, and system/network infrastructure
• Comprehensive understanding of banking technologies, systems, industry developments, and trends
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, containerization, and programming languages like Java and/or .NET
