As Warehouse Team Lead, you are responsible for a wide range of warehouse activities that includes receiving, putting away, picking and packing, dispatch, replenishment and maintaining inventory accuracy both physically and in the ERP system.

What will you deliver?
Warehouse Duties
- 5S and safety of warehouse facilities.
- Oversee and support the following warehouse duties:
o the management of incoming stock in the system by verifying the count, printing labels, transferring inventory to its location.
o Daily pick list reports, stock movement in the ERP, and reorder as needed.
o Ensure warehouse personnel submits the right documents for daily operation transactions.
o Input inventory data in the ERP, create or maintain stock movement to ensure inventory accuracy.
o To provide real time inventory status for both bonded and non-bonded goods.
o Act as the contact person for physical stock enquiries and identification.
o Support stock take and other logistics projects. Lead cycle counts and reconciliation activities.
o Ensure accuracy of delivery is in accordance with the stipulated schedules.
o Manage warehouse productivity costs and workplace safety.
- Ensure to have clear segregation and manage bonded and non-bonded inventories.
- Ensure compliance with Vallen’s operations policies and procedures.
- Recommend measures to improve quality of service and increase efficiency of department and equipment performance.
Transportation & Logistics Duties
- To support the supply chain success of the Company.
- To supervise and coordinate own and 3PL land trucking schedule.
- Manage the company’s fleet and record expenses of company vehicles’ fuel, toll and parking charges.
- To coordinate with courier service for parcel and document shipment and clearance.
- To arrange delivery and collection of goods, operating at overseas facilities to local and overseas customer as well as from supplier.
Custom Duties
- Oversee all custom duties such as:
o Arrange customs clearance with shipping agents and logistics providers.
o Contact the Customs department to confirm tariff codes and import duty rates, updates on regulation, and consultation for clearance processes.
o Support and prepare documentation for post review by the Customs Department.
o Submit all application of Custom privileges, follow up and obtain Custom approval.
o Manage Custom privileges, check and extend period of privilege.
o Coordinate with Custom for Custom related activities and consultation concerning Custom Process.
o Control Custom material for export parts and local parts.
o Manage import and export taxations issues and claims.
Administration and Team Management Duties
- Liaise with Government authorities and consultant on licence and permit.
- Coordinate with supplier and contractor on sustaining facility maintenance, security, and asset.
- Supervise warehouse personnel and work schedule.
- To confirm service render by external parties are in order including payment processing.
- Create an environment that encourages and rewards teamwork and collaboration, both internally and externally.
- Build your team's capabilities.
- Partner with other supervisors to coordinate activities of department and support customers.
- Monitor warehouse performance and maintain proper records relating to warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance with and advice on warehouse safety policies and procedures
Key Qualifications
- Diploma in Supply Chain / Logistics or related discipline
- Holding Customs Agent Licence and having KEK Certificate (Kursus Ejen Kastam), Forklift or scissor lift certificates are an advantage.
- Good Excel skills
