RESPONSIBILITIES
The Early Intervention for Children (EIC) Services helps equip children with motor, communication, social, self-help and cognitive skills. THK EIC involves structuring classes around small groups encompassing early childhood special education, social work and therapy support services to stimulate their adaptive functioning and school readiness skills.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Lead Teacher in classroom and engagement of children
- Conduct small group activities when required e.g. routines such as CIrcle Time
- Assist Lead Teacher in carrying out therapeutic interventions as instructed
- Ensure that students are well supervised during contact time in the centre
- Brainstorm and plan activities to support students' learning
- Preparing teaching resources
- Support students' toileting needs
- Receive and discharge the students before and after classes
- Take class attendance and compute attendance summary
- Conduct health and temperature checks
- Maintain a clean, tidy, safe and conducive learning environment
- Maintain good communication with parents
- Assist in filing of documents
- Attend transdisciplinary team meetings, workshops, in-service training and sharing sessions
- Any other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- GCE 'N' / 'O' / 'A' Level / NITEC / Higher NITEC in non-related discipline

Professional Development
- Proactively engage in professional development activities to facilitate ongoing knowledge and skills development
- Participate in cluster meetings and school-based training to upgrade relevant knowledges and skills.
Other Areas
- Participate in various school initiatives and/or events (e.g. support on the actual day of event)
- Assist in CCA duties
- Liaise with stakeholder such as Allied Professionals and caregivers to support students' development and well- being

If successfully selected, you will be seconded to MOE primary school located in Toa Payoh.
Contract Period: from 01 January 2026 to 31 November 2026.
Option to Extend : from 1 January 2027 to 30 November 2027.
Personnel to be deployed at the following hours :
- Mondays to Thursdays: 6:45am to 4:00pm, inclusive of 45min lunch break
- Fridays: 6:45am to 3:30pm, inclusive of 45min lunch break
- Mondays to Fridays during MOE school holidays: 7:00am to 11:00am. For 2026, the school holidays are (A March, (B) 30 May - 28 June, (C September, (D) 21 November to 30 November (MOE school holidays are from 21 NOvember to 31 December but this manpower contract will end after 30 Nov)
The 2027 MOE school holidays will be made known to the public only in 2026
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public holidays, School Holidays and School Closures.
The services required are set out as the follows:
- Maintaining and updating of data records including stocktaking of teachers' resources and inventory;
- Preparation of teaching resources to be used in classrooms;
- Assisting as a safety chaperon e.g. during daily arrival and dismissal of students, chaperon to students going on external Learning Journeys, supervise students during recess play etc.
- Assisting Heads of Department with relief duties matters as and when required;
- Providing administrative support during school events e.g. usher for Parent-Teacher Meetings, man registration counter for school concerts etc.
Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- At least two year's experience working as a Teacher Assistant / Teacher Aide in a primary school.
