How will you value-add?
A career in our Financial Services Tax practice, within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You’ll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals. Our team helps our Financial Services clients navigate the frequently changing and complex national and international tax environment related to stringent capital requirements, management of operational tax risks, and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions. You’ll help our clients with their tax structuring while helping to address the challenges of the continuously changing tax world, both locally and globally.
As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
You will assist your managers and partners in providing comprehensive and effective tax compliance and advisory services to our top-tier corporate clients in the financial services industry.
Preparation and review of corporate tax returns and assisting clients in dispute resolutions and enquiries from the tax authority.
Provision of tax advice and tax solutions under management guidance.
About you
Recognised Degree or relevant Professional Qualification.
Minimum 3 years and above of relevant tax compliance and advisory experience gained in a large or medium-sized public accounting firm.
Preferably a member of the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals (SIATP).
You should possess strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and PwC professionals.
Able to prioritise and multitask in a fast paced environment.

Job Description

As a Tax Associate in Vialto Partners ’s Global Mobility Tax team, you will play a key role in assisting some of the world’s most recognisable global organisations with their tax obligations related to the movement of employees across international borders. This role involves providing tax compliance and consulting services to multinational organisations and their employees, ensuring adherence to global tax regulations, and optimising tax strategies for both the company and its mobile employees.


Key Responsibilities :

Personal tax return compliance

  • Prepare and review individual tax returns for expatriates ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international tax legislation
  • Manage tax equalisation calculations and hypothetical tax assessments for expatriates
  • Monitor and ensure timely submission of personal tax returns and payments

Consulting and advisory

  • Provide tax advisory services to clients regarding international tax issues including taxation treaties, foreign tax credits and double taxation relief
  • Advise clients on tax-efficient structuring of employee assignments and compensation packages
  • Assist in the development and implementation of global mobility policies and procedures

Client Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients understanding their business needs and providing tailored tax solutions
  • Serve as a point of contact for client inquiries providing prompt and accurate responses
  • Collaborate with clients, HR and payroll departments to gather necessary information for tax compliance

Research and Analysis

  • Stay updated on global tax regulations, changes in tax laws and industry best practices
  • Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide detailed analysis and recommendations
  • Assist in the development of technical training materials and deliver training sessions to clients and internal teams

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with global Vialto team members to coordinate advice and ensure seamless service delivery
  • Support senior team members in large client projects and engagements
  • Participate in team meetings, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6 months to 2 years of experience in Singapore tax preferred with a focus on individual tax compliance and consulting.
  • Should have working rights for Singapore
  • Prior experience with global mobility tax issues and international tax regulations is highly regarded, but not essential
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google

Your Role
As a Manager/Assistant Manager of the GES Advisory team, you will work within an engagement team and draw on experience and knowledge in cross-border mobility issues including tax, immigration and social security requirements to provide employment-related consulting services to multinational clients on employment tax planning, rewards design, development of tax policy, HR process review and related services for their international operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Research and prepare materials for advisory projects related to employment tax planning. Keeping abreast with the latest employment-related regulatory developments is a must.
Assist clients with their implementation of specific mobility structures and processes.
Assist in the coordination and facilitation of global mobility, working with other lines of services and other foreign offices where relevant.
Manage multiple projects and assignments and ensure that services provided are within the agreed service level and scope, while service delivery adheres to Deloitte quality standards.
Assist in conducting mobility labs to assess the current state of talent/mobility policies and engage in planning of the future.
Where required, assist in managing the related compliance obligations of the employer and employees.
Work directly with directors/partners on business development opportunities.
Provide leadership, coaching and career guidance to develop and motivate the engagement team.
Assist with financial performance management of the team by monitoring billing and collections status.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or business-related field. Candidates with recognised professional certification such as ACCA will also be considered.
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in handling individual and personal income tax, preferably gained from a Big 4 accounting firm or other related organisations.
Excellent verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Must be a team player and versatile to work with people of diverse backgrounds and experience.
Mature in handling client issues and possess good interpersonal skills.
Able to work under tight deadlines.
