As Head of Accounting & Tax Services, you will be responsible for leading and managing the core client service delivery & coordination team both in Singapore and globally, ensuring the provision of efficient, accurate, and compliant one-stop financial services to SME clients. You will leverage advanced technology platforms and your professional expertise to drive service excellence and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development- Build, lead, manage, train, mentor, and develop a high-performance Financial Services team (including bookkeepers, accountants, tax specialists, etc.).
- Foster a positive, collaborative, client-centric, and continuous improvement culture.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of comprehensive financial services to a diverse SME client portfolio, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Services include bookkeeping, financial statement preparation (in accordance with SFRS/SFRS for Small Entities), management reporting, corporate income tax computation and filing, Goods and Services Tax (GST) filing, and coordination of related compliance activities.
- Manage service workflows, optimize resource allocation, and act as the primary point for complex client issue escalation.
- Design, implement, and continuously optimize standardized service delivery processes using automation tools and platforms.
- Identify efficiency bottlenecks and drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and client value.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Establish and maintain rigorous service quality standards and QA procedures.
- Ensure all service delivery activities fully comply with Singapore accounting standards, tax regulations (IRAS), and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Stay up to date on regulatory changes and ensure team awareness and compliance.
- Partner with product and technology teams to provide user feedback and identify platform improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing on service scope, pricing, and customer experience.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth internal operations.
- Participate in strategic planning, goal setting, and budgeting for the Financial Services function.
- Provide expert insights for new service development and improvement of existing offerings.
- Represent the department in company-wide initiatives and discussions.
- Develop recruitment strategies for sourcing qualified local accounting and tax professionals.

- At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and tax services, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge of SFRS, corporate tax, and GST compliance in Singapore.
- Proven experience in managing high-performance teams and cross-border operations.
- Hands-on experience in process standardization and workflow optimization using digital tools.

Tax Compliance Management
Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all corporate, indirect and withholding tax returns, as well as other statutory filings, for the funds and subsidiary investment entities
Focus will be on Singapore, Hong Kong, US and German tax filings and reporting, as well as on filings and reporting withholding taxes (dividends, interest, capital gains) across the APAC region and US
Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business
Ensure alignment with global and regional tax reporting standards
Collaborate with external advisors to address country-specific compliance requirements

The Tax Assistant Manager will provide timely and accurate services for our clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity for the Tax Professional, who is client service focused, highly organized and detail orientated, to play a key role in the growth of the Tax business unit. A key member of the Tax team, your role is pivotal to client experience, to accelerating team success and to manage our diverse client portfolio. Your responsibilities will include the provision of comprehensive and effective tax services and/or the preparation of tax computations, tax returns and GST compliance and tax administration.
Some of the things you'll be doing:
- Assist in providing comprehensive and effective tax compliance and tax administration services to a portfolio of corporate clients in a diverse range of industries.
- Prepare income tax compliance work and basic tax administration and guidance for portfolio of clients.
- Handle tax reviews, tax audits, tax administration and inquiries.
- Preparation and review of corporate tax returns and assisting clients in dispute resolutions and enquiries from the tax authority.
- Handling project and engagement management including work planning, scheduling, budgeting, associated analysis and documentation.
- Assist with GST compliance work, which involves preparation and/or review of clients' GST returns prior to submission.
- Assist with the application of GST registration, exemption, and schemes.
- Assist clients with IRAS GST audits and queries.
- Assist with GST healthchecks such as Assisted Self-Help Kit (ASK) reviews, and Assisted Compliance Assurance Programme (ACAP) reviews.
- Build strong external and internal relations with clients, networks, teams and across other services.
- Involve in any other adhoc projects and related tasks as and when required by the Partner(s).
What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or relevant discipline preferably with a professional qualification as recognised by SCTP
- Minimum 3-5 years related experience, preferably from a professional services firm/Accounting firm
- Must be familiar with Singapore Tax regulations and guidelines
- Strong delivery management, enforcement of timely execution and on time delivery
- Proven leadership, project management and analytical skills
- Proven communication skills, including spoken and written English, and ability to work across all levels
- Strong team player
- Motivated and looking for career growth and development
- Exposures to VDP application, ASK reviews, and ACAP reviews would be an advantage
