We are seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking Senior manager to lead our Client Tax Operations team in Singapore. This role will be instrumental in shaping and executing the tax operations strategy across APAC and NAM clusters.
This role serves as the regional lead, ensuring alignment with global tax strategies while managing local nuances, stakeholder engagement and tax authority relationships. A strong emphasis is placed on e-invoicing preparedness, VAT/GST compliance, automation initiatives and risk and control oversight.
Responsibilities:- Lead and oversee tax operations for APAC and NAM clusters, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of indirect tax (GST/VAT) reporting and related processes.
- Govern tax operations services provided by shared service centers (CSC), ensuring consistent standards, service quality and strong control frameworks.
- Represent the region in global tax governance forums, driving alignment with enterprise tax strategies
- Partner with local corporate tax & finance teams to monitor, interpret and operationalize changes in VAT/GST legislations
- Engage with local tax authorities, manage operational audits, and oversee regulatory submission and inquires
- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and tax risks through proactive controls, timely escalations and remediation efforts.
- Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders (Finance, product, tech, legal) to drive digital tax transformation and enhance process efficiency
- Lead, coach and develop a high performing regional team with a strong service mindset and accountability
- Support additional regulatory tax reporting such as U.S. Qualified Intermediary, FATCA, and Automatic Exchange of Information (CRS Reporting).
- Develop business requirements for system-related enhancements and manage the end-to-end implementation of new or amended taxes.
- Support change management, training and continuous improvement across tax operations functions
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- A good track record of experience in tax operations, indirect tax compliance, or regulatory reporting in financial services.
- Deep knowledge of APAC VAT/GST frameworks and strong familiarity with global regulations such as EU ViDA, SAF-T, and e-invoicing standard (e.g, Peppol, SDI)
- Proven track record of managing cross border teams and working with global tax, legal , finance and technology partners.
- Hands on experience with tax audits, remediation programs and process risk management
- Knowledge about the Double Tax Treaty Agreements, International Taxation, Custody Operations, Relief at source and reclaim.
- Knowledge of US Tax reporting FATCA, US1099 and CRS regulation is a plus.
- Senior to advanced level experience in a related role with appropriate experience in people management preferred
- Strong multi-tasking, organizational and time management skills with experience in continuously following up with various stakeholders and execution teams.
- Ability to take initiative, self-motivate and consistently demonstrate a results-driven mindset.

Support the Tax Finance and Admin Team Leads with finance and operational functions, including the preparation of monthly, bi‐monthly and weekly management reports.
Track financial indicators (billing, debtors, project adjustments), perform data analysis and provide key observations to management.
Prepare exception‐monitoring reports and track approvals.
Provide additional finance and operational support such as data extraction as required.
Guide client engagement teams on WIP management, AR and finance processes.
Coordinate with internal support teams on new initiatives, process improvements and automation.
About you
Minimum diploma or degree in accounting or finance‐related field.
Preferred work experience in finance or management reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP, etc.).
Familiarity with Oracle financial systems is an advantage.
Positive attitude, adaptable to change and willing to grow, taking on new tasks and responsibilities.

Job Description
The Opportunity
- We are partnering a Large Pharma MNC in search for an experienced accountant
- Focus: Support end-to-end financial reporting and tax processes within a dynamic finance team, covering General Ledger, statutory reporting, and tax compliance.
- This role plays a key part in ensuring business continuity while team members are deployed on a major SAP migration project.
- This is a 12-months contractual assignment (renewable).
The Talent
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Progress toward or completion of a recognized accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA)
- At least 5 years of experience in General Ledger, financial reporting, or tax
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English
- Ability to work independently and engage with auditors, tax agents, and internal stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a multinational or regional finance team
- Hands-on experience with Blackline or similar reconciliation tools
- Exposure to internal and external audits, as well as local tax reporting (e.g., IRAS)
- Familiarity with internal control frameworks and corporate policies
The Job
- Maintain timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with internal and external requirements
- Prepare and post journal entries in SAP; reconcile accounts using Blackline
- Support statutory audits and prepare financial statements
- Coordinate tax filings including corporate, withholding, and indirect taxes
- Prepare income and deferred tax provisions and ensure compliance with global reporting standards
- Manage documentation for transfer pricing and entity profitability reporting
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve accounting or tax issues
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and contribute to finance transformation projects
