About the role:
Tax Accountant will be responsible for managing the tax functions and associated functions such as account reconciliations for FIS China and Taiwan legal entities. Also, the person will work closely with Statutory Accounting and Finance teams to support annual statutory audit and finance / accounting matters.
About the team:
This is an individual performer role that will report into Director, Tax based in Singapore.
What you will be doing:
- Preparing tax returns (income tax, VAT, withholding tax and stamp duty) in accordance with FIS standards and applicable local tax laws.
- Monitoring tax law changes and advising the impact of the changes on FIS operations, including proposing actions to be taken to ensure that FIS remains compliance with all local tax requirements.
- Supporting FIS Treasury in relation to intercompany cash repatriation including advising on tax implications and filing of relevant tax returns and tax treaty benefits applications.
- Supporting Statutory Accounting team for annual statutory audits relating to tax matters.
- Working with Finance teams to provide practical tax advice.
- Performing monthly reconciliation of tax accounts including preparing of journals.
- Participating in projects as required by management.
What you will need:
- Minimum of three years of tax compliance experience with multi-national company or tax firm with focus on China and Taiwan.
- Knowledge of China and Taiwan tax laws and regulations is ideal.
- Experience with Oracle financial system.
- Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin language skills (written & spoken) required to communicate with clients and relevant stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
