Job Requirements

As part of the engineering function at UPS, the candidate:

• Supervise and coordinate building maintenance work such as air-conditioning, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, building, plumbing and sanitary systems and general services.
• Assign and manage vendors in the execution of facility management and housekeeping activities.
• Carry out preventive maintenance of properties and attend to all minor work request assigned by the reporting manager.
• Respond and attend to all breakdowns and fault calls.
• Carry out incidental minor repairs work with hand tools in the facility.
• Ensure the facility adheres to UPS safety standards, meets regulatory guidelines and protects UPS employees and contractors.
• Conduct system inspections.

Job Requirements

• Possess at least a NITEC or equivalent in Engineering, Building Services or Facility Management required. Exceptional candidate with long proven track record, but without NITEC, may be considered.
• Possess at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and experience using MS Office.
• There is no shift work, but candidate will need to be comfortable with responding to after- office hour call & weekend assignment as required by business needs.

Primary Objectives of Position

• Build and implement Systems Engineering capabilities to support Reliability in Railway Engineering.

• Consolidated OE capabilities to undertake Asset Reliability Trending and Analysis, Asset Modifications, Maintenance Process Improvements, Configuration Management, facilitate the development of CdM and PdM capabilities.

• Support development of policies to achieve the Reliability and Maintainability

Major Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with Line Engineering Departments for Reliability Trending & Analysis to identify improvement and enhancement of Railway System.
• Lead to identify Technical Analysis on Asset Modification of Railway System.
• Support Line Engineering Departments on Maintenance Process Improvement for productivity enhancement of Railway System.
• Support Line Engineering Departments on Maintenance Schedule Review for any risk identification of Railway System.
• Support Line Engineering Departments in Significant Railway Defects Investigations.
• Support MEC Section in implementing CdM and PdM of Railway System.
• Any other tasks as assigned by superior(s)

Specific Safety Responsibilities

• To comply with SBST's Safety, Health and Security Policies
• Ensure all projects, research, etc. are performed in accordance with applicable rules and procedures
• Responsible for the ensuring of the implementation Safety within the department.

The above activities are no means exhaustive and are subjected to amendment whenever is

needed.

Job Specifications

Minimum Education / Qualifications

• Degrees or post-graduate qualifications in Science or Engineering
• Member of IE Singapore or/and other professional institutions.
• Chartered Engineering in Transportation (Railway) is preferred.

Minimum Years of Relevant Experience

• 3 years of relevant Railway Engineering Experience
• At least 3 years of leadership and managing skill is an advantage.

Knowledge/Skills

• Knowledge in computer hardware or/and software applications.
• Strong problem solving skills
• Up to date on latest technologies
• Keen interest in research and experimentation

What You Will Be Working On
Drive Projects End-to-End: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple high‐impact projects, ensuring they meet operational needs and deliver long‐term value.

What We Are Looking For
Tertiary qualification in Engineering/ Computer Science/ Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or relevant disciplines
Preferably more than 3-5 years of relevant working experience.
Strong interest in technologies and innovation, particularly in the areas of cloud technology, ICT infrastructure, network communications, applications, and setup.
Has strong planning and project management skills, PMP or equivalent certification would be an advantage.
Is able to work independently and as a team player, supporting colleagues, taking responsibility, and ensuring timely delivery.
Has good interpersonal and communications skills for internal/external stakeholder engagement.
Is familiar with the Home Team environment would be an advantage.
