Job Responsibilities
Augment the client’s System Management Office reporting to the client’s System Managers and collaborating with End Users to provide oversight on the operations and maintenance activities for data network systems.
Responsibilities include but not limited to Incident and Problem Management, Change Management, Obsolescence and Vulnerabilities Management, Risk Management, Governance and Compliance Management, Quality Management and Service Improvement.
Manage Vendor’s O&S team in conducting fault analysis, problem resolution, preventive maintenance, obsolescence management, change management and vulnerabilities tracking, patch management, etc.
Engage End Users for first level investigation and troubleshooting of network faults/issues, scheduling of onsite activities, and ensure respective Vendors are triggered to address incidents in a timely manner and perform onsite activities to expectations.
Review vendor’s monthly O&S reports and provide summary reports to System Managers and Ops Managers on the system health, fault records, service reports, change request status, vulnerabilities updates, EOL status, over-and-above items, etc.
Review Vendor’s service requests and deliverables for operational and preventive maintenance activities.
Job Requirements
4-5 years of experience in the areas of core network support and maintenance, risk assessment, change requests, tech refresh, vulnerabilities assessment, patching, etc.
Possesses valid certification in CCNA or equivalent.
Working knowledge of networking, network equipment and related systems where hands-on experience with firewall, switches, routers, DNS, DHCP, NTP configuration, TCP/IP networking, etc. will be advantageous.
Ability to lead and collaborate with vendors to manage SLA, plan and coordinate onsite activities, produce quality reports, value-add to deliverables and ensure compliance to policies and guidelines.
Strong in written and verbal communications. Proven track record in stakeholder management with the ability to manage expectations, address concerns and communicate effectively with System Managers, End Users and Vendors.
Prior working experience in defence organisations or government ministries requiring security clearance is highly preferred.
Resourceful and proactive, able to work independently and as a team player
