JOB DESCRIPTION

• Understand the product requirement and create SOC system level architecture according to the requirement. 
• Understand the use case and create system level test plan.
• Define design specification for new hardware modules, together with IC design engineer.
• Work with IC design engineers to resolve the issues during design phase and qualify the design.
• Understand the design specification of existing hardware modules and make improvement.
• Perform FPGA validation before tape out and silicon verification after tape out
• Provide support for any issue reported from customer.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering with firmware development experience Familiar with SOC design, including bus architecture, memory sub-system,  video signal processing, etc.
• Familiar with standard peripherals, such as UART, I2C, SPI, I2S, PWM, SD, flash controller, etc
• Familiar with IC design activities, such as RTL coding, timing analysis, etc.
• Familiar with lab equipment
• Knowledge in WIFI/Bluetooth physical layer or MAC operation is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities
Lead and/or develop and execute unusually complex projects having a substantial mix of electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithms and software design, which are leading edge of system functionality or technology; spearhead research and development of new technologies as appropriate; and work with Marketing to ensure the meet market requirement specifications (MRS) is valid and attainable.
Use systems analysis to create a diagram in order to review specifications, influence product engineering and software to utilize system engineering concepts for new, unusually complex designs and ongoing engineering improvements, and supervise tests.
Interface with other business units to work out design, systems architecture development and integration issues by utilizing concepts from other business units or influencing other business units to utilize concepts.
Problem identification and troubleshooting unusually complex engineering problems, which are on leading edge of technology or system functionality.
Review system engineering test results and architecture development ideas. Influence and communicate change in adjusting design direction as necessary.
Support System Integration during the assembly and final testing of new product designs.
Work with vendors to develop new competitive products. Takes business issues and architecture development findings into consideration, and works to gain acceptance and use across business units. Develop metrics that aid in the decision making for future business opportunities.
Develop and assure that the requirements of the systems architecture development process are met.

· Make assessment of the video encoder quality, either in house design or licensed IP.

· Work with IC design team to resolve the issues during design phase.

· Create test plan for the video encoder and decoder and qualify the design.

· Work with software team to develop the driver for the video encoder and decoder.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering with IC design background

· Familiar with video compression technology, such as MPEG4, H264, H265, MPEG5, etc.

· Familiar with video quality assessment.

· Familiar with video encoding algorithm and video decoding compliance test.

· Familiar with architecture of video encoder and decoder RTL design.

· Knowledge in video/image pre and post processing is an advantage.

About The Team

The Volcano Engine Vector Database Knowledge Base team supports both internal and ToB customer requirements. We are responsible for the massive content processing of the Volcano Engine large model knowledge base and the effect tuning, evaluation and monitoring, and algorithm architecture optimization of the retrieval system architecture. We also provides technical solutions in framework construction, new feature delivery, and vertical solution construction, including:

Responsibilities

1. Optimize the architecture of the knowledge system around the capabilities of large models and knowledge bases, and design and reconstruct the measurement system and industry delivery system for the capabilities of the knowledge system;

2. Participate in the technical solution design and development of the framework and middleware of the large model RAG architecture to achieve the feature delivery and demand support of the Public Cloud product;

3. Based on the application scenarios of large models, link up and down the ecosystem, provide a general-purpose domain Knowledge Base solution, encapsulate common patterns and processes, and provide stable external service capabilities;

4. Explore the design and development of the MultiModal Machine Learning Knowledge Base;

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields, with at least 3 years of relevant experience;

2. Solid programming skills, familiar with Python language, good code design style and coding ability, and good ability to solve practical problems;

3. Have a certain understanding of the RAG field, understand the common design paradigms of large model RAG knowledge systems, have a basic understanding of large model application frameworks, and have interest and enthusiasm for the implementation of large model applications;

Preferred Qualification:

1. Experience in participating and contributing to open source communities
