We are seeking an experienced Building Design Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for liaising with architects and engineers to gather product and structural requirements and designs.

You will calculate dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials, describe production methods step-by-step (including equipment and software types to be used) and create detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software.

Your duties will include designing diagrams, maps and layouts to illustrate workflow, preparing and reviewing rough sketches and reviewing them along with the engineering team.

We are seeking a skilled Senior Building Design Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing structures, including ETFE, skylights, and steel structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform structural design and analysis, loading and stresses calculation and drawings for ETFE, skylight, Tensile Membrane, Steel Structures.
  • Steel connection modelling, design and analysis using IDEA StatiCa.
  • Finite Element Modelling and Analysis of Structure inclusive of linear, non-linear, PDelta, Mode Shape and Load Buckling.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Civil and Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Civil and Structural Engineering design.
  • Proficiency with steel 3D modelling, analysis & design software such as Rhino and grasshopper.
  • Programming language skills, especially C++, Python, and Fortran.
  • Able to produce detailed layout drawings.
  • Tensile Membrane, ETFE Skylight and Steelwork design experience is an advantage.
