ABOUT THE ROLE

As our Senior Sustainability Consultant, you will be responsible primarily for customer delivery; calculating the carbon footprints of our customers, developing their emission reduction recommendation plans and determining their optimised decarbonisation pathways. You will be instrumental for customer success by accurately and efficiently providing our customers with evidence that they can act on - using the Unravel Carbon software as the key source of information. You will also provide input to the development of the Unravel carbon footprinting software, carbon removal project verification and portfolio development, and general climate policy and approach.

As one of the early hires, you will be in a great position to learn about the inner workings of Unravel and gain operational exposure. You will be dealing directly with customers from the start, learn quickly, and make a real difference in our climate emergency fight.
  • Calculate carbon footprints / accounts of companies
  • Develop net-zero roadmaps and emission reduction plans
  • Input into ongoing development of footprinting tools and processes
  • Support our customers on the topics of net-zero, ESG and TCFD
  • Work with Chief Sustainability Officer on carbon removal projects vetting and climate policy positioning

ABOUT YOU
  • You have working knowledge of the GHG Protocol plus at least one of the following topics (1) Corporate climate disclosure and reporting (ESG, TCFD, CDP etc.), (2) Negative emission / carbon removal technologies and (3) Carbon offsetting markets
  • You have excellent numerical skills and strong proficiency with Excel/spreadsheets, a methodical approach and can work independently

You will work with senior managers, directors, and partners to manage and deliver climate & sustainability/ESG advisory engagements on specific clients. The scope of work includes sustainability governance and management, ESG reporting, financial impact assessment of sustainability, climate change and carbon, sustainable finance, sustainability data management and analytics, and sustainability communication. Position Summary
To support our growing climate & sustainability/ESG advisory business across the region, we have an opportunity for a manager to join our team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for managing ESG advisory and assurance engagements.
You will work with senior managers, directors, and partners to manage and deliver climate & sustainability/ESG advisory engagements on specific clients. The scope of work includes sustainability governance and management, ESG reporting, financial impact assessment of sustainability, climate change and carbon, sustainable finance, sustainability data management and analytics, and sustainability communication. You will manage all aspects of the end-to-end engagement process, including working to agree timetables, developing the scope of work and deliverables, developing appropriate work programmes, reviewing the testing and assurance fieldwork and draft reporting and being responsible for project management.
Responsibilities
Manage the delivery of the overall Climate & Sustainability/ ESG advisory engagements, including identifying strategic direction of the work and supporting team members in project-related tasks.
Juggle multiple client requests when managing different climate & sustainability/ESG advisory engagements.
Support the senior manager/director in engagement budgeting and resource management process.
Be responsible for engagement and client acceptance procedures.
Develop/maintain strong working relationships with client's key business decision makers to communicate value and inform them of the firm's scope of services.
Take responsibility for supporting the senior manager/director/partner in identifying and pursuing new advisory opportunities.
Identify, research, and help to resolve complex climate & sustainability/ESG assurance issues.
Identify/communicate trends, developments, and key performance drivers relevant to your clients and potential clients. Demonstrate a deep understanding of client industry and marketplace.
Develop people by encouraging junior team members to think for themselves and take responsibility for their contributions to the team. Successfully delegate to and manage all levels of staff. Conduct performance reviews, serve as a positive role model, and mentor and contribute to performance feedback/training. Foster teamwork and lead by example.
Actively follow the landscape for Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) communications, including ESG standards.
Continue to broaden your knowledge and experience within the alternative asset industry and ESG/Sustainability/Diversity space by educating yourself on evolving standards and best practices as well as attending relevant industry events.
Qualifications
Five to eight years of working experience in advisory engagements, preferably with prior sustainability/ESG-related work experience.
Required Skills
Inquisitive mind with a strong passion for sustainability and ESG issues.
Demonstrate strong business skills and an ability to translate recommendations and other ideas effectively and concisely in reports, presentation materials, client proposals and other written communication.
Strong project management techniques including decision-making ability, analytical skills, time management, organization, and evaluative skills.
Be a self-starter who takes ownership for tasks and team performance and proactively seeks out ways to better address our clients' needs.
Be a team player and leader, able to successfully guide the work of others and be committed to achieving common goals.

What the role is:
Strategy Group leads and organises the Public Service to develop and implement the Government's strategic priorities. As part of the Strategy Group, the Economy & Sustainability (E&S) Directorate works with other public agencies to develop strategies that address Singapore's key policy challenges in both the economic domain, and the nexus between the economy and sustainability.
What you will be working on:
a. Contribute to the development of Whole-of-Government (WOG) medium to long-term strategic priorities for the economic sector.
b. Support the Director / DD to push agencies' ambition in policy thinking, build consensus and align agencies' work to WOG priorities.
c. Support the progress of these strategic priorities through designing and establishing systems and structures for governance and progress assurance.
d. Perform secretariat duties and support agenda setting for inter-agency and POH platforms (such as Economic Forum, Cabinet Subgroup, Cabinet Retreat) to advance WOG's strategic priorities.
e. Interact with a wide range of internal stakeholders, including Cabinet Ministers, Strategy Group's senior management as well as colleagues in other agencies. The officer will work closely with agencies to influence and support their efforts to deliver the Government's policy agenda.
What we are looking for:
Strong critical thinking and synthesis skills, intellectual curiosity and a sense of imagination and creativity.
Able to conduct open-ended, qualitative research on long-term issues. Comfortable working with and interpreting data.
Excellent interpersonal skills and confident in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders; a team player prepared to take on different team roles as necessary, with strong influencing skills to work across organisational and hierarchical boundaries.
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.

The Associate will play a key leadership role within the Environmental Design and Building Services team, focusing on delivering sustainable, high-performance building solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and sustainability consultants to integrate environmental design principles throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Guide the development of sustainable design frameworks in line with LEED, WELL, and GM AAP/AP standards.
  • Support and mentor team members, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
  • Participate in business development activities, proposal writing, and client presentations as needed.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet regulatory, quality, and client expectations.
  • Contribute to firm-wide innovation in sustainable building practices and tools.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Building Engineering, Environmental Building Design, Architectural Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or Building Science.
  • Min 7 years of professional experience in an engineering or sustainability consulting firm.
  • Proven expertise in dynamic thermal and energy modelling tools (e.g., IESVE, EnergyPlus, eQuest, DesignBuilder).
  • Strong understanding of green building certification systems and sustainability assessment frameworks.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or currently working towards Chartership (highly desired).
  • Accreditation such as GM AAP/GM AP , LEED , or WELL is highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client engagement skills.
