THE ROLE:
Working with a team of enthusiastic direct materials planners focusing on planning sufficient raw materials, managing external vendors, collaborating with various stakeholders like Factory planning, Purchasing/Strategy team, Finance, Product planning and Engineers in mitigating risk or resolving quality/yield issues, supplier issues, managing inventory, supply shortages or expedites while adhering to loading guidelines. Involved in projects and improvements in planning systems and applications to enhance business processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyzing MRP system/Kinaxis suggestions on raw materials purchase and making adjustment if necessary to ensure sufficient materials to support internal build plans and complying with internal inventory target/loading guidelines.
- Reconciling materials requirements from factory build plan vs. MRP system recommendations and systematically understanding root cause and address gaps (if any).
- Collaborating with various teams to manage demand changes to ensure suppliers loading meeting business guidelines given by strategy team.
- Working with external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, expedite urgent materials or site diversion of raw materials to support build plans.
- Managing inventory to ensure compliance within safety stock target, FIFO rules, to minimize excess or obsolescence and quarterly scrap.
- Validating MRP systems data to ensure purchase plan recommendations are accurate.
- Assess and report suppliers monthly and quarterly performance for business review.
- Issuing Purchase Requisition of materials to external partners/suppliers.
- Maintain lead-times, valid materials part numbers and supply chain system parameters.
- Preparing relevant reports from or for MRP systems weekly run or various reports validations/safety stock pull in/inventory report, etc.
- Involve and collaborate in cross functional team to drive continuous improvement.

- Production and Inventory Control: Experience in production planning, inventory management, and material scheduling. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and capacity planning. Highly data-sensitive to perform supply-demand balance analysis effectively.
- Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SAP/WMS, with the ability to promote process improvement and system implementation.
Key Personal Qualities:
