Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, own, refine, and implement a partnerships strategy that aligns with and supports our overall business vision
- Manage our most strategically important partnership opportunities in the region, both existing and new, and own executive level relationships
- Understand the competitive landscape to ensure that Airwallex remains a ‘partner-of-choice’ and proactively present recommendations to executive management
- Be the main point of contact in the partnerships organization for our APAC General Manager and ensure the team are executing strategically important partnership initiatives, aligned with the regional commercial objectives
- Coordinate due diligence processes with prospective partners and project-manage internal stakeholders through commercial, product and systems assessment
- Position yourself as an industry expert and establish relationships with potential partners and key decision-makers in the industry
- You will serve as a region expert while keeping in mind our global footprint
- You are an exceptional communicator – being able to connect with people at all levels, both internally and with external stakeholders, and communicate project expectations effectively is critical
- You thrive under pressure – and work well with constant change and the ambiguity of a startup environment
- You have strong negotiation skills – to navigate complex commercial discussions to ensure the best outcome for Airwallex

- Tertiary qualifications from a top university with strong academic results

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Director to join our growing Corporate Strategy Team in Singapore. In this newly created role, you’ll ensure strategic initiatives are seamlessly embedded into day-to-day operations across APAC. You’ll incorporate these priorities into budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking, giving the business clear visibility on value delivery and progress toward our goals. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with senior executives, finance, and strategy teams to drive meaningful, lasting impact.
Key Accountabilities:
- Partner with Planning, Performance, Execution teams, and initiative owners to embed initiatives seamlessly into operations.
- Reconcile value delivery to ensure precise allocation and eliminate double counting.
- Design robust handover plans with clear accountability for achieving targeted value.
- Collaborate with Finance to embed initiatives into budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning processes.
- Ensure all financial impacts (benefits, costs, investments) are accurately captured and transparent.
- Lead alignment discussions with the Executive Leadership Team and Finance to secure appropriate resources.
- Oversee Power BI dashboards and reporting to track initiative progress and performance.
- Define and communicate clear, actionable performance metrics and timelines.
- Engage credibly with senior executives to share performance insights, highlight gaps, and drive decision-making.
- Standardize and continuously improve best practices for transitioning initiatives to business-as-usual.
- Build team capability in embedding, reporting, and data interpretation.
- Enhance governance, performance visibility, and feedback loops to strengthen planning cycles.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in strategy development and planning; Management Consulting experience is highly valued.
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual problem-solving abilities.
- High level of ownership and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, unstructured environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident engaging and influencing C-suite executives.
- Skilled in developing complex PowerPoint presentations and professional documentation.
