Job Description
You will be responsible for decontamination, sorting, checking, packing, sterilizing, storage of equipment and instruments ready for distribution for units.
Responsibilities
- Ensure and maintain principles of sterility of all instruments before, during and after distribution.
- Ensure proper documentation of processes and upkeep records promptly and maintain accurate inventory of instrument sets.
- Report defects, losses, breakages, shortages, of supplies and any untoward incidents
- Be knowledgeable in the functions and usage, care and maintenance of equipment and instrumentation.
- Proficient and knowledgeable of the various sterilization methods and complex instruments.
- Plan, co-ordinate and ensure availability of instrumentation, equipment and supplies when requested by user areas.
- Ensure that all documentation of sterilization process is properly and accurately entered.
Requirements
- Must be registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board
- Possess at least a full time, recognised NITEC Certificate in Nursing
- Must possess a minimum of 3 years direct relevant working experience in CSSD under acute hospital setting
- Able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work 3 rotating shifts and weekends on a scheduled roster
