As a deputy centre lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and overall management of our preschool.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and professional development by providing insights and guidance, and mentoring teachers on pedagogy, teaching methods, and the effective use of tools and resources.
- Lead the development of strategies for parent engagement, community involvement, and talent management.
- Oversee and optimize the management of centre resources, such as staff scheduling, inventory control, and managing controllable expenses.
- Implement and manage specific centre programs, initiatives, and events.
- Handle various administrative tasks related to the smooth operation of the centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement high-quality educational programs that meet the needs of children and families.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, caregivers, and community stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to establish goals, objectives, and policies that align with the preschool's vision and mission.
- Recruit, train, and support early childhood educators to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to provide high-quality education and care.
- Maintain accurate records and reports to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and inform decision-making.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (DECCE) or a Degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Diploma in Pre-school Education-Leadership (DPL) is an added advantage but not compulsory.
- Experience: 3-5 years in early childhood education, with 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Familiar with ECDA regulations and EYDF.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Passionate about child development and early childhood education.
