Early Childhood Education Leadership Role

As a deputy centre lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and overall management of our preschool.

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and professional development by providing insights and guidance, and mentoring teachers on pedagogy, teaching methods, and the effective use of tools and resources.
  • Lead the development of strategies for parent engagement, community involvement, and talent management.
  • Oversee and optimize the management of centre resources, such as staff scheduling, inventory control, and managing controllable expenses.
  • Implement and manage specific centre programs, initiatives, and events.
  • Handle various administrative tasks related to the smooth operation of the centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement high-quality educational programs that meet the needs of children and families.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, caregivers, and community stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  3. Collaborate with the leadership team to establish goals, objectives, and policies that align with the preschool's vision and mission.
  4. Recruit, train, and support early childhood educators to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to provide high-quality education and care.
  5. Maintain accurate records and reports to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and inform decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (DECCE) or a Degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • Diploma in Pre-school Education-Leadership (DPL) is an added advantage but not compulsory.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in early childhood education, with 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Familiar with ECDA regulations and EYDF.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Passionate about child development and early childhood education.
