Position requirements:
- International Primary Curriculum (IPC) experience preferred.
- International School teaching experience is preferred.
- Ability to instruct students or classes in general music, choral or voice, instrumental music, or a combination of these topics.

Role Overview
The Outdoor Education specialist at Tanglin Trust School will bring wide experience in outdoor and adventurous environments, together with the ability to design and deliver high-quality, age-appropriate programmes across the 3–18 age range. The role requires excellent critical judgement, strong practical skills, and the capacity to work effectively under pressure, including executing dynamic risk assessments and leading safe, challenging, and memorable experiences for students of all ages.
As a cross-school role, the Outdoor Education specialist will contribute to Forest School (Nursery–Year 2), Outdoor Education skills within Junior School, and a range of co-curricular programmes captured under two pathways: Exploration and Outdoor Work. A significant responsibility will be leading the Exploration Society, a weekly club for students from Years 5–12 that provides pathways into discipline-specific adventures such as kayaking and sailing, while also creating leadership opportunities for Senior students to inspire and support younger learners.
The role also includes contributing to the planning and delivery of expeditions and Outdoor Education focused year group residentials, this includes the Duke of Edinburgh Award programme, with responsibility for leading 3–6 expeditions annually overseas. In addition, the Outdoor Education specialist will oversee equipment management and storeroom organisation, as well as conducting weekly site visits to ensure readiness, safety, and quality of provision.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Department, Outdoor Education Coordinator, external providers, and wider school teams to ensure programmes are of the highest quality, align with Tanglin's educational philosophy, and contribute to the growth of outdoor education across our expanding campuses, including our new Australia site. Fundamentally, this role is about inspiring and enabling students more access to the outdoors for now and years to come.
The role reports to the Head of Outdoor Education.

Primary responsibility is to ensure that students have appropriately written individual education plans and that these plan are being implemented in all school settings.
Pans must be developed following a process that reviews and considers all relevant factors including assessment data curriculum-based measurements and input from all team members.
Is also responsible to monitor the plan to ensure program compliance: that required timelines are being observed; that direct services, accommodations, modifications and other services indicated on the plan are being implemented in all school settings; and that the student is benefitting from the services provided.
Communicate with Principal - the teacher need to make sure the principal has a list of all the students for whom the teacher is responsible and access to those students' IEPs. The teacher must notify the principal if any part of a student's plan is not being implemented appropriately despite the teacher's efforts to correct the problems via consultation with other school personnel.
