Main Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the team in Student leadership, activities and records

  • Manage and mentor student clubs and international student chapters

  • Manage the growth and engagement of student leaders and student community

  • Manage the use of venue, loan of equipment and materials.

  • Organise activities such as appreciation events, integration and team building events etc.

Manage and Lead the International Office (IO) Team

  • Plan and implement content/briefings for new students (pre-departure to 1st 3 months in Singapore)

  • Provide regular training i.e. every quarter to Country Managers to build rapport and seek feedback for the services provided

  • Attend students’ queries and feedback via various communication channels and face to face interactions in a timely manner.

  • Lead the team in ensuring the relevant student visa are arranged and renew on a timely manner

  • Manage vendors providing off-site services for VISA processing and meet & greet services

Manage Student Success Office (SSO) orientation briefings for full-time cohorts

  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required by the company from time to time.

The Student Services Officer provides administrative support for assessment processes, students' results and appeal management, and academic progression. This role ensures compliance with academic and assessment policies, coordinates examinations, manages student results and appeal records, and supports academic staff and Unit Coordinators in their duties, especially in managing the marking and moderation process.

  • Assessments and Progressions: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of examination systems, policies, and procedures. Oversee the organisation, scheduling, and security of assessments and exams, ensuring appropriate provisions for students with special requirements. Create progressive assessment schedules and coordinate invigilators and exam logistics.
  • Student Management: Advise students on course requirements and academic and assessment matters, and manage requests for paper reviews, deferred assessments, and extensions. Handle cases of appeals, and academic misconduct and provide support to students at risk by referring them to appropriate academic resources.
  • Marking and Moderation: Organise and monitor the marking process, ensuring timely distribution of feedback and results release to students. Manage assessment moderation in accordance with partner policies and coordinate the release of results within deadlines.
  • University Procedures: Ensure student academic progress complies with regulations. Assist in preparing and attending Board of Examiners meetings and produce necessary reports.
  • Other Duties: Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Senior Manager (Academic), contributing to the overall functioning of the Office of Pro Vice-Chancellor.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree/Diploma in Business Administration/Relevant Discipline
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and preferably with experience in student information systems or customer relationship management tools.
  • On-the-job training provided.

Implement effective Tier 3 level behavioral and academic supports

  • Provides intervention directly to students through explicit instruction and guided practice in order to foster independent school functioning throughout the school day

Regularly assesses students' level of independent functioning within the school environment 

  • Collects progress monitoring data to help modify intervention and report progress to support team 
  • Implements feedback and input from Behavioral Support Teachers and additional service providers 

Communicates effectively with classroom teachers, parents and internal services providers 

  • Establishes and maintains ongoing professional collaboration with on-campus service providers in order to  maximize student impact on academic engagement and social functioning 
  • Maintains appropriate communication with classroom teacher and assistants in order to work successfully within  the general classroom environment 

Position Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with children who display academic and/or behavioral challenges 
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and professional collaboration skills 
  • Must demonstrate flexibility, strong work habits, and a positive attitude 
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent command of the English language 
  • Proficiency in using computers and other forms of technology 
  • Strong references and attendance record 

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working as an individualized interventionist with students of all ages 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with children who have identified behavioral and academic difficulties 
  • Teaching Certification from an accredited educational institution preferred 
  • Knowledge and/or experience providing behavioral support within an RtI Model
