Teaching & Learning
- Plan, deliver, and adapt engaging ICT incorporating AI tailored to students with diverse learning profiles, including those with mild to moderate special education needs (SEN).
- Integrate AI tools and technologies responsibly into teaching practices to enhance accessibility, engagement, and learning outcomes.
- Support students in building essential digital literacy skills, responsible technology use, and understanding of AI concepts appropriate to their developmental level.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and empowering classroom environment where every learner’s strength and unique superpowers are valued.
Curriculum Development & Innovation
- Collaborate with the academic team to develop and refine ICT and AI curricula aligned with DIS’s inclusive education model.
- Incorporate assistive technologies, adaptive software, and AI tools to support differentiated instruction and personalized learning pathways.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, AI trends, and best practices in ICT education for students with SEN.
Student Support & Individualized Instruction
- Design and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with ICT and AI components to meet specific learning needs.
- Use data, assessments, and observation to monitor student progress and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Provide targeted interventions for students requiring additional support with ICT or AI concepts.
Collaboration & Capacity Building
- Partner with therapists, support staff, and families to ensure a holistic approach to each student’s educational journey.
- Support the upskilling of fellow educators by sharing practical AI integration strategies and tools.
- Promote a growth mindset culture that encourages students and staff to explore new technologies with confidence.
Requirements
- Degree in Special Education, ICT Education, or a related field,
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, ideally in an inclusive or special education setting.
- Experience teaching ICT, digital literacy, or AI concepts to students with diverse learning needs.
- Familiarity with using AI tools to enhance accessibility, differentiation, and personalized learning.
